What our customers are saying about our Child Friendly Cottages In Normandy To Rent.

"We had a lovely time in normandy. I went with my husband and my elderly mum. A few points should be noted. The cottage which is charming could do with a good clean everywhere. also we have rented many cottages over the years and have never been charged for use of bedding and asked to bring our own towels! The television only works on english channels. My mum which doesn't speak English would have liked to watch some programs from time to time. We felt no one could be bothered to reply to our polite requests. No coffee machine in the kitchen (we brought our own) no hairdryer but the worst thing of all was the double bed upstairs, never ever slept on such a bad mattress, my husband had awful backache every morning. Terrible shame, we feel the cottage is neglected and could be so much more appealing with a little effort from the owners."

"Brillevast is a good location and the property could be excellent however it was not. There was no welcome pack giving you information such as nearest A&E; shop or restaurant which I found unusual as generally there is some information to help you settle in particularly as the owner/caretaker can’t speak English. The garden couldn’t really be used by the children as the grass was particularly long. The bedding provided was awful (old, tired and stained in places). There was generally a lack of care/upkeep of the property eg. wallpaper secured in places with sellotape. The caretaker/owner seemed genuinely lovely though and tried her best to assist us where she could. Maybe I arrived expecting too much based on the photos of the property. As a location though it was great and the property didn’t stop us from having an excellent holiday."

"A lovely cottage that contains everything that you would need for a holiday. Surrounded by stunning countryside, your nearest neighbours are the owners who are just across the other side of the large garden. They were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, making sure that everything was ok within the cottage. However, there is only enough comfortable seating for 3 adults in the lounge. Beware of the very low beams and door frames particularly into the en-suite shower room. Although the kitchen had everything we needed, we did feel that it was in need of some maintenance and updating due to wear and tear. You really are a minimum of 4 miles from your nearest shop so you need to be have a car to stay here. The cottage itself really is a picture box cottage and we would definitely return."

"The owner was very abrupt when we arrived, her English was non exsistant, so she says The tv satellite card had run out and they tried to charge us an extra 4€ to get a new one, their English was fine thenWe had been charged 60€ cleaning charge, but the Git had cobwebs all over the place The cooker was very slow to warm upAnd the man hole cover at the back of the house kept on coming up and flooding the back patio, when the toilet or shower was used, it stunk, it was horrid The toilet inside the Git didn't flush properly The double beds were very hardIf a little bit of money was spent on it, I would of given it 10/10 Oh the advert says that their is a stream in the back garden, there isn't one Thanks"

"With a little more effort, it could have been top marks all around.Tools for the BBQ would be helpful. Settee needs some support but everything else was great. As with all such places a list with some helpful information would also help. Info such as ‘where best to get bread and croissant in the morning. Local market day, best local places to have lunch or dinner. Nearest supermarket and a big sign telling the English visitors to buy their food for Sunday on Saturday as everything closes. We would go here again, friendly helpful owner and good position for visiting the local area."
