What our customers are saying about our Child Friendly Cottages In Newton By The Sea To Rent.

"Crag End is a nice property which could do with bringing up to date. It reminded me of my mother-in-laws house, and had the same moth ball smell. It is in a very convenient position for shops and the harbour, or for sitting on a bench overlooking the sea. The property has no views, which was a little disappointing given the price. The beds were comfortable, the property was very clean. I was a bit disappointed that there was no way to make fresh coffee (coffee machine, coffee pot) as fresh coffee is very popular nowadays. We have stayed in many seaside properties over the years, and whilst this was clean and comfortable, we would probably not return."

"We had a great time. The apartment we booked was everything we hoped for, nicely furnished, well equipped and very cosy. There are plenty of great places to visit and not too far away. We went to Alnwick Gardens, and did the Farne Islands tour, Bamburgh Castle is most imposing. The beach in Beadnell is lovely, with plenty of wild life attracted to the area. The RSPB hut is a must visit for bird watchers. The village is pretty and the locals very friendly. The Craster Arms serves great food, has a really good atmosphere and has live music on a weekend. We would definitely go back and recommend to our family and friends. "

"Craster Reach is a lovely cottage in a pretty location. It is very well presented throughout. Bathrooms are stunning, and the bedrooms gorgeous with comfortable beds and beautiful soft furnishings. Views from back windows down over the harbour to the sea and castle are amazing. Nice seating area on front decking that catches the morning and late afternoon sun. Pub at the bottom of road very handy for a drink in the beer garden or indoors if weather wet. Walks along the coast in either direction from Craster and several inland kept us fit whilst enjoying the scenery and fresh air."

"Fixtures n furniture very tired and dated.Hair in sink and bath and cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom. TV didn’t work properly and no sky or wi-fi (most places have this now as std)Car park is too tight and there were x9 cars at one point (x1 car per house but even then not enough room)Cooker too small and writing rub off on controlsFridge freezer is too smallFirst time we stayed was ok as we had twin babies but now they are older need better standard of accommodation (although if it was updated likely we would go back). Location is great as is the swimming pool."

"Incredible price for a week's holiday, and although the weather wasn't particularly brilliant we had a great time. The cottage was very comfortable and we had the heated swimming pool to ourselves for practically the whole week. Being right on the harbour side was fantastic and the only drawback was the rather tight entranceway to the complex for our large family car, but this was fine once we got used to it. Would definitely go there again."
