"We had a lovely stay here. The cottage was beautiful, on arrival we got our keys and was hoping to be able to park our car outside the cottage, being that we were paying for the V.I.P cottage I would have hoped that would have been the case and with kids, it would have made it allot easier with all the extra baggage you have to carry but the walk wasn't too far anyway. Walking into the cottage it was presented beautifully, everywhere was lovely and clean and it was decorated really well too. The beds were comfy but a bit too soft! which isn't always a bad thing but I guess it depends on your mattress preference.Later on when giving our toddler a shower she pulled off the drain cover which revealed it was full of hair which was pretty gross but that was the only dirty thing we found in the place! Also being that it's a VIP cottage would have thought it would have come with a bath and shower instead of just stand up shower but I guess you can't have it all! also I did see that was noted on the page before we purchased and was fine with that. The hot tub was beautiful and clean, it would have been nice if it had a full path to the hot tub rather than slabs between pebbles as in the dark going back it is sometimes hard to see and you end up stepping on all the stones which isn't fun. Also the light that turns on in the garden whilst you're in the hot tub was directed straight at the hot tub and because it was so bright was quite irritating after a while, it would have been nice if it was slightly pointed away from the hot tub so it wasn't SO direct. We ended up covering it with clothes half the time because the light in the hot tub was good enough for us!I enjoyed the little things that was in the cottage on arrival such as butter in the fridge with some milk, ice cubes in the freezer, isle of wight bread, two kitchen rolls, washing liquid and sugar, tea and coffee. Really lovely little freebies that added some home comforts on arrival. Also loo roll! Which is always a bonus. Overall it was a lovely stay and I would recommend it to anyone and would love to come again."

"We really enjoyed our stay and Claremont House and Chris was lovely. The hot tub and spa was a lovely addition to the place, although the hot tub could have done with a good clean and a couple of the nozzles weren't working properly.Off street parking was a plus if a little congested at times. This place was advertised as a luxury apartment but for me it lacked the luxury part which is reflected in my review. If this hadn't have been advertised as luxury my review would be very different as it's a nice place to stay. The following is what took away the luxury part for me:No housekeeping all week, only 1 spare loo roll provided and no spare bin bags. The bed was very soft and could do with a new mattress. The bedding had a rough pattern on the duvet cover and pillow cases, I would suggest changing these for plain ones. The towels were too small and mismatched, consider replacing with matching bath sheets. There was a random freezer in the bedroom, would never use it because of the noise it would make, so just remove it.Consider adding some curtains in the bedroom because the sun comes through the slats in the very nice wooden blinds and shined straight into my face from about 5/6am.The light in the bathroom was a waste of time, could barely tell it had been switched on, consider upgrading to a brighter unit/bulb.Other than that everything else was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"The photo above is not of 268 Gurnard Pines - probably another property on the site. Gurnard Pines is described as a Holiday village but many of the properties on site are residential and some are needing some care and attention. We were advised that there was parking for 2 cars immediately outside the property. There was space for 2 cars but not solely for the use of the occupants so the space was not always available. Whilst the property was very clean and most things were in very good condition the only seating in the lounge area was 2 sofa beds - not always easy to get up from. There was only one small wardrobe in the main bedroom - nowhere to hang clothes in the other two bedrooms - which just had a chest of drawers. We were fortunate to have good weather which was good as there was nowhere in the property to hang coats etc."

"The cottage was in a beautiful location and very quiet. Although it was on the owner's property, it was just inside the drive so we were left completely alone but close enough should we have had any issues. The accommodation was immaculate with good quality bedding (a must for a comfy sleep). Toiletries, tea, coffee and milk were provided for when we first arrived and lots of literature regarding the Isle of Wight to enable us to plan and make the most of our week away. Mrs Turner (owner) was very approachable and friendly and nothing would have been too much trouble if we needed any assistance. All in all this little cottage ticked all our boxes, completely restored our faith in cottage holidays and we would not hesitate in returning. Jan and Simon Newman"

"The caretaker and cleaners were excellent and we enjoyed our stay at No. 83.The "cottage" is very well equipped and modernised but the lack of a dining table would put us off staying in this particular unit again. Plenty of electrical outlets but no bed side light! Bring a long USB cable if you want to use a laptop while charging. Wi-Fi is excellent but the location within Gurnard Pines appeared to have no mobile phone reception so if you need a one time code for banking etc. you may have to leave the building and go a little way up the car park. Noise from a nearby air conditioner is a bit of a negative if you like to use the garden table which is in the rear courtyard."
