"I had a very comfortable weekend stay with my dog. The cottage is just round the corner from the Links seafront and ideal for dog walking and general walking and access to the beach. Also many town food outlets and pub/restaurants in easy walking distance. During my stay I appreciated the quiet location despite being on a main street. The cottage feels like a detached house although "attached" to a property next door on one wall. Well equipped and with good Wi-fi and Blu-ray player a bonus. Lighting could be better in some areas especially the kitchen and lounge. I was comfortable but a large group might find the kitchen seating restrictive for main meals. The patio table at front of house not ideal for main meals. Easy parking on street round the corner - parking right outside only really suitable for loading/unloading due to near blind corner and no pavement. I would stay again and recommend for up to 4 adults or 2 adults/3 kids if eating in. Double bed and bathroom on ground level - stair not good for disabled. Shower room and 2 bright and airy bedrooms upstairs."

"The cottage was a little run down and deff needed a little tlc. The view was amazing and although it was away from all amenities this was what we wanted. My main issue was the wasp nests within the house. I had very young children who were stung on more than 1 occasion. This meant they spent the week terrified and i was thankfull neither were allergic. I spoke to the caretakers who did come to deal with the issue but only spraying wasp spray around the entrance of the nests this went on for 3 days and they never actually dealt with the overall issue. I went mid July so I dont believe that was the first they knew about the wasps and this should have been dealt with prior to any1 getting there and dealt with professionally. I got the impression they weren't interested."

"The location was excellent, very central and easy to walk to parks, beach, shops, harbour, etc. The only thing was the kitchen was a bit tight for 6 people more suitable for 4. However, we were lucky with the weather and managed to eat at the bench outside on the patio. The bedrooms were a fine size and the bathrooms were good with good showers. However, sitting room again bit tight for 6 people more suitable for 4. Everyone enjoyed their holiday especially the kids as they enjoyed the beach, paddling pool and swimming pool. My husband and I were lucky enough to see some dolphins off the bay from the harbour. The dog loved her walks and the cottage is very dog friendly, though no grass the park was nearby."

"Really beautiful location and some great places to eat locally. Everyone in town was very friendly. Was a bit disappointed by the starkness of the house and would have hoped to see some more thought in the decor (some soft furnishings would have gone a long way - think lots of blankets and some updated furniture) I didn’t relish my return in the evening. Also had to clean crockery before use as it was dirty, as were drawer handles and toaster. Lots of dead insects in light fittings and corners. Otherwise, house offered good amenities I.e. washing machine and drying rack etc. Terrible shower which kept changing temperature and burnt me more than once."

"The property was very clean and comfortable. It was warm and easy to manage. It is a pity that it is attached to another - much less well maintained property - but that didn't really matter to us. The garden is pretty and well maintained, with secure fences for our dog to roam in. The views from the windows are stunning! Just one tiny moan - there could be a couple of better pans in the kitchen - the frying pan was no longer non-stick and we needed to have a non-stick saucepan. We would definitely stay again if we were to visit the Highlands. And, by the way, everyone we met on our holiday was really friendly and helpful."
