"We stayed for 4 nights, a family of 2 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs,The cottage itself was just about acceptable but the driveway was ridiculously tight. I drive around 1000 miles per week and I'd class myself as a decent driver and I struggled with it.The lighting on the drive is poor and it's no more than a cars width wide. It's certainly a fire hazard in my opinion. Due to the nature of the driveways width and lighting I happened to clip my wing mirror causing damage and as my wife was telling the owner (we weren't complaining to her) all that the owner was interested in was making sarcastic comments about us slightly damaging a fence panel.Back to the cottage, parts of it are in desperate need of renovation. An internal door handle is snapped off and my daughter sliced her hand, another thing that we let go as we were really looking forward to this break as a family. We've stayed in many cottages before and I've never written a review of them as it's not my thing, but I feel the need to warn people of this place as overall my view of it is not good at all. I happened to by chance google the "cottage" and to my surprise it came up as one of booking . coms locations, so the owners are obviously also advertising this on there as short stay accommodation to people like sub contractor workmen in the area. It's certainly not the cottage break that we were expecting. There are plenty of other decent places to stay in the area and my advice would be to avoid this place at all costs."

"The cottage was fine downstairs, rustic, clean and comfortable, and the country lane outside was delightful. Upstairs, things were different. The conversion to a cottage meant that the height between bedroom floors and the sloping ceiling were ridiculously low. The only position where I could stand up straight was immediately under the apex, and I'm only 5' 9". I couldn't get into or out of the right side of the bed, (facing away from the headboard) as the ceiling was barely 3' 6" high measured 12" from the bed. My wife and I spent the week bending awkwardly every time we went upstairs, frequently banging our heads and cracking our shins on the wooden frame and furniture whilst concentrating on the ceiling. Sadly, the delightful country position and pleasant walk to a superb inn in the village couldn't compensate for the upstairs. We maintain that the conversion should never have been allowed. It should have been clear that it would result in the present unacceptable, and dangerous for heads, upper floor."

"My friend and I stayed at the delightful Cwmtrwch Cottage from 9th to 16th October 2015. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back there at the earliest opportunity. The beds were really comfortable, something we often find seriously lacking at other places we have stayed in the UK. We went for a swim every morning in the extremely pleasant pool which was never crowded, and we also enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam room. A real treat! Our hosts, Stewart and Emma, were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was nice and peaceful. We had delicious cakes and tea in the cafe. Only and 15 minutes drive and we were at the beautiful Aberglasney Gardens and a mere 10 minutes drive took us to the fascinating National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Venturing further-a-field, we visited the stunning Pembrokeshire coast. All in all a very enjoyable holiday. Can't wait to go back again. Many thanks. Sorry about all the adjectives but I can't help it. It was so AMAZING!"

"This is the second time we have stayed at S21661 and we enjoyed it just as much this time as we did the first time. The main draw for us is the use of the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room. We walked over there every morning of our stay and had a swim plus a relax in the jacuzzi and steam room before breakfast. It was just what two busy, hard-working ladies needed. Tescos in Carmarthen was within easy reach for our shopping and we visited Dinefwr Park and Castle National Trust property and on another day had a good walk on the beach at Llansteffan. We also visited relatives while we were in the area and spent time with them. The cottage is very comfortable. The only disappointment about Cwmtwrch is the grounds around the whole complex. It looked very neglected and in need of some TLC. Can't fault the warm welcome we received though, from Emma and Stewart, our hosts. Lovely people! All-in-all a nice break in a nice place."

"Rooms were tidy but needed hover. As soon as we arrived we had to hover although had to stop and empty the hover due to the bad smell.house was dusty, cobwebs. Lounge was tidy but floors not throughly clean. Had dog saliva on floor rugs and sofa. Dog hairs on floor, child high chair very very dirty and sticky couldn’t use this although wanted to clean this but had to stop due to its current state. Kitchen well equipped but microwave not working. Front of the house unkept could do with tidying up and a lick of paint as first impression count. This was very dump and not clean. Had to pickup litters on arrival. Tried emergency contact 5 times without response with voice message when searching for the cot; eventually was found in one of the bedrooms cupboards. Too furniture in the master bedroom. Had to move free standing mirror to the landing House spacious for 5 and very well equipped. Friendly neighbors in all."
