"On arrival to the cottage you're instantly greeted with stunning views and a nice sense of remoteness. The front door leads you into a small wooden vestibule and a further door into the open plan dining lounge area with a small wooden burner and separated by solid thick stone arches. To the left and through a doorway under the stairs is the large fully equipped kitchen and to the right is a small snug area with TV, a rear boot room/utility and wc. Upstairs off the landing is a double bedroom and bathroom to the right and a single and further double with ensuite to the left. Overall the facilities are very good, nice to have a couple of bottles of wine waiting for us, the location great and the views stunning. A few niggles - a basket of logs and starter log were supplied but nothing to light it with, we had to borrow from the neighbouring barn. You can't relax in front of the fire watching TV as they're in different rooms. The general cleanliness was a bit disappointing like mouldy/dirty shower screens, toothpaste on taps, some slightly dirty cups, some cobwebs and dust. We didn't complain about it (although contemplated) as I'm sure someone would have been sent to clean but in all honesty it should already have been done. This didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay but certainly not expected from a 5* accommodation. We would certainly recommend S27042 and would stay again. (we left a large box of matches for the fire)"

"We had a nice time during our stay at a fabulous location overlooking the beach. The weather was as expected during Feb. Lot’s of mixed weather from heavy rain to sunshine. The underfloor heating made it hard on the dog but it was never cold for us which was nice. The stairs up to the apartment were quite steep so would not be suitable if you have a disability as I had & the decking on the balcony was slippery & I took a nasty fall on it which made the stairs doubly hard to go up or down. However, I am sure the owners will have it sorted by the autum rains. The welcome pack of very nice to see as was the nice bottle of wine to enjoy. The owners are very nice people & very helpful. This location is a great place for a young fit family to enjoy & if you are elderly or disabled please tell the owners & request apartment number 3 if it is available for they own the apartment which I am sure you would enjoy much more than apartment 4 which we had. It was a great place to tour around from looking at beautiful wales."

"What a beautiful idyllic place to stay! Yes it has no WiFi but this was perfect to switch off from our busy lives & have quality family time! It was so peaceful! Andy and Elena were so kind & welcoming. Our girls aged 12 & 8 loved exploring & had endless fun on the swing and feeding the animals. The barn is gorgeous - clean, cosy and has everything you need. We even had a BBQ. Extra thanks for the delicious bacon & eggs! We took lots of food for the week with us, although couldn't resist The Black Lion in Abergorlech- literally the best Sunday lunch! We visited so many places & the travel was no trouble. National Botanical Gardens, Mwnt Beach (swam with seals!), New Quay (Lime Crab best fish & chips), Aberporth (Coasteering), Llandysul Canoe Club (Kayaking), Dolaucothi Gold Mines (perfect for a rainy day). We actually ran out of time & didn't get chance to go biking at Brecfa, Aberglasney Gardens, exploring Cennen Castle, Dinefwr Park & horse riding! We will be back!!!"

"The owner of the cottage is a really lovely lady, but the cottage, although close to a beach, is unusually situated for a holiday cottage, it looks straight on a pair of double garages which would generally be termed eyesores. The view out the back was breathtaking for the wrong reasons. The property gets good sunshine from the front, but is mid terrace and the back has a high cliff going up behind it (wooded), so a bit short on sunlight. There is no back garden, just a very slippery raised decking area and views of concrete/ washing line/ slabs/ domestic oil stores. The real issue for this property is that it is wrongly priced, which means that people feel disgruntled as soon as they arrive. We gave up on trying to use the TV !! The bedrooms were very nice. A very useful property if you want to be able to walk to a quiet beach in 2 minutes and still be able to park. "

"S37418 is a lovely large property in a great location with excellent views. We were a group of 10 (4 adults, 6 children) and it was the perfect size for us with plenty of space for the children to play in. The games rooms is an excellent room (although it could do with a bit more lighting) and was well used during our stay there. Our only issues were the lack of a few things in the house, namely dishwasher tablets, more than one kitchen towel, spare toilet rolls, handwash in the bathrooms and kitchen. The buttons on the thermostat also only seemed to work if you took the battery out and put it back in again. Overall though, the house was perfect for us and we would recommend it and would consider returning again in the future."
