"Advertised as "Newly listed Property" ,which gave the wrong impression, however it should have read "Newly renovated property" although this would have been a misnomer. Our telephone phone call advised time of arrival. Nobody to meet us on arrival, and nobody, owner or caretaker visited us during out stay.On arrival we were greeted with a packet of Welsh cakes and a bottle of Rosy wine called"The ugly Pig" and from Australia. It is recognised that most people drink Red or White wine, and Wales produces it's own excellent wine.Bathroom. We had to run the hot water tap for 5 minutes before any hot water and then it was never very hot . Neither the Bathroom or the downstairs Toilet had spare Toilet rolls.Downstairs Toilet and shower room had a rusty soap holder in the shower, the light over the basin was very dim,(also the upstairs bathroom) The Shower control "Mira" controls were poor with only a trickle of water. The Toilet seat made of wood refused to stay in the upright position, consequently it fell down with hinges that were rusty and covered with green mould. When entering ,the Light switch also turned on the Fan, with no opportunity to turn off the fan when not in use. The constant loud noise was more than irritating.None of the doors, including the bathroom, had hooks on the inside, therefore we were unable to hang our clothes or a dressing gown when taking a shower or a bath.Lounge: Of the two ceiling lights only one was working.Kitchen: No instructions for appliances. Out of 4 worktop lights only one was working. There were no scales or colander, and no light over the cooker. Some double glazing panels had disintegrated, thus spoiling the view."

"Whilst the beach was very long, there was limited access to it and not a great deal else that took our fancy locally. The view from the property is stunning but there were a few internal things that spoiled our enjoyment. Many of the plates and cutlery had hard food deposits on them. The dinner plates did not fit in the dishwasher or microwave and there wasn't a drop of washing up liquid left to wash them in the sink. The fridge freezer made a loud rattling noice on and off and through the night this disturbed our sleep significantly. There was no digital signal to the TV which would have been good for the kids. The cupboard to the right of the dishwasher has a hole for the dishwasher plug access where a shelf support should be so when a pan was removed from it glasswear was tipped out. The light in the bathroom is on a sensor and stayed on for a max of 10 seconds at a time and not at all when children were in the shower. The extractor fan in there was filthy. Bathroom lights had a number of dead bees in them and the toilet roll holder was loose rendering it useless. There is a significant crack in the floor tiles going into the twin bedroom leaving a sharp edge. Most of these are easy to solve problems and would improve everyone's enjoyment of the accommodation."

"Lovely well equipped apartment with stunning views. We booked the apartment because it was identified as 'Dog Friendly' but unfortunately the balcony area did not have a side gate and therefore was not secure enough for our dog to wander freely within the compound of the property - other apartments in the same block all had side gates. We also wanted a property that offered Wi-Fi and the reception here was very poor - most of the time a signal was not available and when it was it kept dipping in and out. With no mobile phone signal we felt quite isolated. The property is located some way from the main resort and is at the top of a steep hill - if you are unable to or you do not like walking any distance then you will need a car to get to and from your property. Unfortunately a couple of other points within the accommodation were a bit annoying - the bracket in the shower was broken and as a result the shower head was pointing in the wrong direction - someone had previously tried to sort a temporary 'fix' by supporting the shower head with a piece of string but this did not work effectively. Also the light in the shower room only comes on if movement is detected and it kept witching off - particularly annoying in the evening having to shower in the dark!"

"A short break 5days/4nights with my partner and two dogs. The cottage appears to be a recent refurbishment in a rustic seaside style. The upstairs is a bit quirky with slightly sloping floor.Hard flooring makes for easy cleaning after the dogs deposit sand from their coats, this was a great plus for us as takes a lot of risk out of the stay with the dogs. The kitchen is well stocked with good crockery, glasses and kitchenware. Tea,coffee, milk and chilled water was provided for our arrival. The garden is split over two levels with a paved patio area leading to a raised larger grassed area. There is a small pond and a low wall joining to the gardens of the owners next door. This wasn't high enough to retain our Springer but their garden was secure. The pond has a mesh over it but not strong enough o support the Springer and our dog loves water.Heating is provided through out and is very efficient.Burry Port itself is a quiet harbour town with two great dog friendly beaches."

"The apartment is lovely, well equipt and with stunning views. It's location lets it down however as it is at the top of an incredibly steep hill and quite a long walk away from the local amenities so unless you are amazingly fit you will need a car to go everywhere. Anyone who has mobility issues will be stranded at the apartment without transport. Also there is very poor mobile phone network coverage so you tend to feel a bit isolated. The apartment was well equipped but let down a little by cleanliness - there was a film of dust on some of the furniture and when a cushion fell behind the sofa one eveing it was covered in dust when we fetched it back. Also we left an item of jewellery behind when we left - we suspect it fell from a bedside cabinet under the bed and despite reporting it when we got home nothing has been found as the caretaker said he was having problems locating the "cleaners"."
