What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Cannich To Rent.

- Lucie C, July 2018 - verified booking

"This lovely little cottage was well worth the 19 hours it took us to get there. After a long and stressful journey, we arrived at midnight, so we were unable to appreciate our surroundings at first, but we were extremely grateful for the seriously comfortable bed in which to crash out. In the morning, I was greeted with glorious sunshine, birds singing, no traffic of any kind, and stunning surroundings. The garden is a real sun trap if like us you get good weather, and the cottage is indeed cosy, clean, well equipped and lots of hot water! Sue and Eddie are lovely, and although the cottage is on their property, you have total privacy in a dog secure garden, and they are close enough to call on if you need anything. For two people who live in the overpopulated South East of England, this was a peaceful Paradise away from reality, I wish more places like this existed closer to home. As we came with our dog, it was really handy to have a dog secure garden, so we could just let him out rather than one of us having to go out with him to make sure he didn't escape. There are a couple of villages close by to get basic supplies, and Inverness is about 40 minutes drive if you want to do more serious shopping. If you want peace and quiet but the option to venture out exploring, this is a gem of a place to stay, but a word of advice for dog owners. If like us you wanted to go and visit lots of castles and gardens, don't bother stepping out the door. Unlike National Trust properties, we found that you couldn't take dogs anywhere. As it was so hot, leaving the dog in the car wasn't an option, so we couldn't visit any of the places we really wanted to see, so save yourself the trouble and having to find out the hard way like us. Also, if you're visiting Glen Affric or similar places in the summer, make sure you wear plenty of insect repellant, the midges are vicious!"

"The cottage was great and we had a great time, the owners are lovely and friendly and so helpful if you need them, they make you so welcome and nothing is any trouble for them. The name 'S26327' is perfectly apt as it is cosy with the log fire, beds are very comfortable and the cottage was very clean and well equipped. The scenery and area is amazing, lots of places to visit and see as well as the wildlife of stags, deer etc, lovely walks, waterfalls and the snowfall made it so magical. We thoroughly loved it and would certainly recommend it. Only problem we had were your directions which were very confusing when they could be so much simpler...i.e. coming from Beauly as you enter Cannich go through the traffic lights and turn immediately left, follow this road to the corner which is signposted right to Tomich, turn right onto this road and follow the single track lane for about a mile, when you pass the farm machinery parked up on the left, turn right into the closed metal farm gate which is marked Balquidda Farm where S26327 is located past the farmhouse. From the A831 from Drumnadrochit, as you enter Cannich turn left at the corner onto the road marked Tomich and follow as above. The reference to the green tin roof is no good in the dark, snow or frost!. It took us about 45 mins once we reached Cannich to actually find the cottage and had to ask several people and ring the owner eventually and better directions would be a good start ."

"S26327, a mile-and-a-half from Cannich, north of Loch Ness, is a well-equipped, sparkling-clean, detached single-storey retreat on a working livestock farm. It has two bedrooms and can sleep three. While private, it is close to the owners' home. It was well worth the 700-plus mile journey to get there. There's an open log fire, but you won't need it, as owners Susan and Eddie don't skimp on the electric heating. This is an interesting area to explore, with plenty of gems to find, including the beautiful Glen Affric national nature reserve, the stunning Plodda Falls and, of course, Loch Ness itself. The city of Inverness is about 40 miles away. It must be pointed out that while TripAdvisor's information says there are two bathrooms, there is actually one!"

"Located on a private road in the village of Cannich. Set at the side of the owners property on a working farm but fully fenced off so you still have your privacy but the owners are on hand if you had any queries. Very peaceful area & the cottage was spotless with every appliance you would have in your own home with bed linens & towels included. Had good wifi connection, TV & plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. Ideally situated for visiting Glen Africa, Glen Strathfarrar, Loch Ness & many more places. Would highly recommend to friends & family."
