"As Above reallyI booked the cabin for my friends 60th Birthday. There were 8 of us all together and we had permission to attend as a single gender group. During our stay we only left the cabin on the Saturday for a short excursion into Bury St Edmunds. The rest of the trip was all centered around enjoying the cabin and its surroundings.I had already had a couple of conversations with Nigel at the site prior to arrival and he was really helpful advising me on a number of queries such as facilities, cabin equipment and directions. On arrival Nigel was able to let us into the cabin a little earlier than expected as he had prioritised its cleaning knowing that we wanted to decorate it for the big surprise arrival of our guests.Nigel accompanied us to the cabin and fully briefed us on the use of all the electrical equipment and the Hot Tub.Wer asked for additional chairs as we were a party of 8 and later some extra champagne flutes and a can opener which was broken and clearly not reported. Everything we asked for was sorted out quickly either by Nigel or by the maintenance guys but this was nothing to do with the poor quality of the property but to do with filling the hot tub or turning on the tap.The cabon was so good I have recommened it to all my friends and work colleagues. We are definitely going to book it again. The view was wonderful, we were not disturbed by any other guests. Everything we needed was there and we cooked and danced and hot tubbed all weekend. If I had one bit of feedback it would be the facilities for the 7th and 8th guests in the living room on the sofa bed. The Duvets and pillows were not made up with the covers and the pillows and duvet were flat and stained which was a little unpleasant. We did not care but I can imagine this would cause poor feedback from other more picky guests. We would have preferred two pillow each, two single duvets and for them to be prepared in the cupboard ready for deployment.it maybe an idea to remind people to bring bin bags and dishwasher tablets and some washing machine instructions for drying tea towels. This feedback does not affect my review as we all concluded that it could not have been better for our celebration. Cant wait to come back and see Nigel and his team who looked after us brilliantly."

"We are a couple who loved staying in this house. The furniture and beds were perfectly clean and the house had modern gas central heating that kept it at just the right temperature - and, as guests, we had full control over it. There was a decent TV (plus TVs in the bedrooms), and there was proper fast unlimited WiFi. The seating in the living room is comfortable - there is a three seater sofa, plus two armchairs, plus a tub chair, so there is a range of different furniture for different people. The owner, Will, was very friendly, and rapidly helped out with a problem we had. We come to this part of the world to visit family, and have been doing so for many years. Vingt Huit is now our number one house of choice in Cambridgeshire. The flat fenland that surrounds Fordham has large skies, and a good range of wildlife - we've seen hares and red-legged partridges, plus various swans and even the odd munjak deer!If you like exploring cities, then Ely is nearby, and Cambridge isn't too far either. Wicken Fen is run by the National Trust, and is very accessible. We came here specifically to visit nearby family, but if you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all I can thoroughly recommend this house."

"Lodge 6. Had a lovely break here with 3 generations of our family, the hot tub was great and up to heat by teatime on the first day. staff were welcoming and helpful. cabins are nice but a little on the budget side compared to most we have stayed in and could do with things like oven dishes and roasting trays. beds are comfy and clean white bedding all smelling fresh. parking for 1 to 2 cars right next to each cabin. lovely decking but could do with the trees trimming back so we could enjoy the sunshine and keep the leaves from dropping on hot tub and decking (had to ask for a brush to sweep them everyday as they dropped even in May). Our cabin had a very strong smell in the en-suit/dressing room area (very drains like smell), this wasn't something new as had been mentioned in the guest book by other but obviously not a easy problem to solve especially when site is fully booked, this smell would stop me from booking again unless it was guaranteed the problem was resolved. The staff did try there best to help out with the smell while we were there...….10/10 for effort. Imperial war museum at Duxford is a great day out for all ages.."

"We had a pleasant stay overall; the rooms were comfortable, the hot tub was very pleasant and the location was perfect for our requirements. However there were a few fittings which didn't work on our arrival, which impacted on our stay. The temperature control of the shower in the main bathroom was broken so it was impossible to shower as the water was too hot to touch, which meant all 5 guests had to use the en-suite shower room. Whilst we could manage, this led to some inconvenience for those who wished to wash off the chlorine smell after a hot tub session in the evening, if the friends in the main room were already asleep. An issue with the extractor fan in the kitchen made it deafeningly loud when turned on, so we made do with not using it; this was a minor inconvenience as we wanted to make full use of the cooking facilities but were a little restricted because of this. Both of these issues could not be resolved during our 4 day stay which led to the staff agreeing to a partial refund of our booking fee after some negotiation."

"We were a party of 6 adults who had a brilliant long weekend in a 3 bedroom lodge, with a hot tub. We were greeted by a very friendly park manager (Nigel) who was attentive throughout our stay (in fact, he phoned us prior to our arrival to inform us that the lodge was ready early). The lodge was very nice and comfortable, although it could have done with drying facilities for towels, etc (a clothes airer or even hooks/towel rails would have been useful). The walls were also rather bare with no pictures, etc. There was a problem with a complete lack of water on the Sunday morning but it was fixed by the time we returned later in the afternoon. It was rather a wet weekend so we didn't get chance to stroll around the park, which was a pity. We had a nice meal, with excellent service, at the nearby Rosery Country Hotel in Exning (part of Rosewood stud park), who gave us 10% off our bill as customers of Rosewood!"
