What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Cambridgeshire To Rent.

"We are a couple who loved staying in this house. The furniture and beds were perfectly clean and the house had modern gas central heating that kept it at just the right temperature - and, as guests, we had full control over it. There was a decent TV (plus TVs in the bedrooms), and there was proper fast unlimited WiFi. The seating in the living room is comfortable - there is a three seater sofa, plus two armchairs, plus a tub chair, so there is a range of different furniture for different people. The owner, Will, was very friendly, and rapidly helped out with a problem we had. We come to this part of the world to visit family, and have been doing so for many years. S83993 is now our number one house of choice in Cambridgeshire. The flat fenland that surrounds Fordham has large skies, and a good range of wildlife - we've seen hares and red-legged partridges, plus various swans and even the odd munjak deer!If you like exploring cities, then Ely is nearby, and Cambridge isn't too far either. Wicken Fen is run by the National Trust, and is very accessible. We came here specifically to visit nearby family, but if you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all I can thoroughly recommend this house."

"Every aspect of our stay at S86136 was enjoyable. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely owner and the welcome pack of treats was very much appreciated. The cottage was cleverly designed, beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished (inside and out!) and extremely well equipped. The beds were so very comfortable and everyone of us slept extremely well. The owners were close by and on hand if we needed anything, but they were also respectful of our privacy too.The surrounding area was beautiful and the cottage was close by to many public footpaths some of which run to nearby villages and pass through beautiful fields and farmland. There are games, books and activities available at the cottage which meant that even if the weather wasn't great we could still relax and enjoy ourselves as a family. The cottage was perfectly located for visiting nearby towns and cities either by car or by train. The local towns of Huntingdon and Ely having mainline train stations. In summary, a stay at S86136 is a must. It is a perfect base for any type of holiday; whether it be taking long country walks, relaxing in the cottage grounds or having a day trip to a local town or city."

"S86136 is a hidden gem,if you want peace tranquility and time to unwind relax and sit back then this is the place to do so. I cannot fault either the setting or the cottage.Immaculate, clean and with everything you need plus the welcome food gifts this is a delight. Our black labrador was enchanted with the garden its visiting rabbits and cats and the endless hours spent lazing in the sun was a sure fire winner for her, with plenty of walks nearby and "water" walks not far by car. We had the laziest of stays mainly chilling out on the deck playing cards or reading but we visited the very lovely Ely, ST.Ives and Cambridge all not far by car.Sometimes you think you want one thing busy days doing lots and yet what you get here is something you didn't realise you needed, time out and time to recover. A really awesome place can't praise it highly enough."

"We took our puppy with us to the cottage, Kerry was there to meet us and showed us round and where everything was.The cottage was spotlessly clean and the decor and furnishings great, the kitchen was set out very well and we had everything we needed. The log fire came in handy as the weather was freezing, the heaters were timed individually and one of them had a little issue which made the lounge chilly, so Kerry gave us more logs and we were absolutely fine. There was nothing to fault otherwise except one thing - we did spend a fair bit of time in the cottage as the weather was so freezing cold and snowy, and we both found the sofa really uncomfortable and difficult to relax on - sorry! Thats my only fault, otherwise I would and have recommended it to everyone!"

"The bungalow was well equipped and comfortable, although for me at 75 years old the sofa was a little low and a bit of a struggle to get out of! However there were cushions available to boost the sitting height and we enjoyed our stay at S26129 and would return. Not much in the way of leaflets for places to visit. Would recommend getting to the horse gallops at Newmarket around 7am then going into town for a full English breakfast around 9am! NT places worth a visit as is the Nene Valley Railway if you like steam trains, not open everyday. Cambridge itself disappointing, expensive to park. Go early to the Park and Ride our nearest was full by 11am. On a rainy day you should visit Duxford Museum especially if you are into aircraft."
