"S27018 is in a great location for many areas, Cambridge, Saffron Walden, Ely and Knebworth. We visited all of them. There was a lovely welcome hamper in the fridge. Crackers, cheese and chutney. Chocolates a pint of milk and some lovely coffee. Plenty of tea bags available. A co-op and Aldi just down the road for any supplies needed. The kitchen has everything you could need to make a meal in. All equipment available. Everything has been thought of. Julia and Clive have a great little property and are always on hand to help. The house is spotless. Lovely decoration and well thoughtout layout. Cozy and snug with underfloor heading down stairs, a bonus in the cold winter weather. Comfortable bedrooms, great Showers. Plenty of hot water due to having it's own boiler. A lovely homely home to spend a relaxing break in. Thank you Julia and Clive!"

"A superbly equipped and presented holiday cottage in a very peaceful location with appliances, fittings and decoration all done to a very high standard. The owners provided a very warm welcome and efficiently guided me around all of the appliances etc within the cottage which negated any worry over how things worked. Everything I needed was to hand and the addition of wifi and Freeview a real bonus. Plenty of cupboard space should you be travelling with a lot and plenty of plug points for those of us who now travel with more chargers and adapters than possibly clothing! The location is superb for visiting Ely and Cambridge while still being in the countryside. It's a lovely place in which to return to and relax and simply watch the wildlife outside the window. I will most certainly keep this Cottage on my "returns" list."

"Most enjoyable stay in a lovely part of England. The cottage is five star, internally contemporary, has wi-fi, very clean, and in a quiet location. Lacks nothing. On arrival, Mary, the owner, welcomed us and gave us a tour explaining how the equipment worked. Also a very welcome packet of biscuits, fresh milk and tea and coffee awaited us. For us, with a car, it was a perfect base for exploring Cambridgeshire and beyond. Best cottage we have ever stayed in. Tip: Free parking in Ely is a plus. We left the car there one day and took the train to Cambridge, only £4.50 each return with no restrictions."

"We booked S17019 based on the excellent reviews, but even then, it exceeded our expectations. It was spotlessly clean, there is a large, modern bathroom and the fixtures and fittings are of high quality. Our host and hostess were friendly, welcoming and happy to answer any questions. The information on what there is to do in the area is carefully catalogued in folders, The cottage is set back quite far from the road, so you don't hear any traffic. You can walk into the village and there is plenty to do in the area by car and / or bike. Wicken Fen and Denny Farmland Museum are highly recommended."

"The house was qiute nice and very clean but crockery and cutlery were pared down to the minimum. The bunk room was very poor with no mirrors in either bedroom. The kitchen really needs a blind for privacy. Roadworks right outside were ongoing throughout our stay. When we asked the owner for a bit more cutlery and crockery, as our son was coming for dinner, she was very reluctant to do this even when my wife explained that he was the reason we were staying in Cambridge just to see him. There was also reference to the city being 15 minutes walk away. It actually took at least35 minutes."
