"The Studio is a lovely rural retreat in the Fens that is very quiet but far from isolated being on the outskirts of a pretty village and close to Cambridge and Ely. The hospitality cannot be faulted with wine and chocolates on arrival and two of the friendliest dogs to greet you.The accommodation is to a high standard with lots of lovely little touches such as DVDs,games and books making it feel very homely. There was a huge folder of useful information about park and ride for example as well as local shops, restaurants and places of interest. WiFi availability was a bonus. The layout feels spacious with the open plan space upstairs and kitchen downstairs and the bathroon, though bijou, works well. It is ideal for a couple and the only downside would be that it is not suitable for people with mobility problems. The kitchen is very well equipped and the washing machine helpful after muddy walks. Our week went all too quickly and we would love to do a return visit."

"The cottage has huge potential but needs a lot of refurbishment to get it up to standard. Beds were clean but uncomfortable. There were only 6 usable dining chairs as 3 were dangerously broken. The lead to the dvd player was missing . There was mould and peeling paint in the bathrooms. The upstairs windows were dirty and ill fitting. The carpet was soiled. The cottage backs onto the farmyard of a beef farm with an open cattle shed directly behind the property so inevitably there were flies. There were holes in the plaster and unrepaired cracks. The location is great for Duxford, Wimpole Hall and Cambridge . There was plenty of kitchen equipment and constant hot water."

"We enjoyed our stay at Acorn, we saw it was smaller than we were used to in the pictures and this was the case. The owners were pleasant and friendly and the cottage was mostly well equipped. The wi-fi signal was good but the bedroom was upstairs and the toilet downstairs, the living room also shared the same space as the kitchen. The location of the cottage is very good for visiting the local attractions and the town has several food outlets and a large Morrisons close by, avoid the local pub as it is noisy and brash. The town has lots of local walks in a surprising amount of countryside."

"I stayed at the Acorn for a fortnight whilst my Mother was in Papworth Hospital. It turned out to be just perfect: clean, quiet and with all one could reasonably expect in the way of amenities in the cottage. Although the location is wonderfully peaceful with the main sound being from the numerous birds in the adjacent woods, there is a large supermarket (Morrisons) and other shops a few minutes away. It is also just a short drive to Papworth so ideal for hospital visiting. In short, I couldn't have asked for more and would certainly be back if I am in the area."

"just what was needed for a relaxing long weekend. Such a nice accommodation and Hosts. Our own fault relying on postcode but we eventually found the turning.. welcome pack was a lovely touch as were the information leaflets and timetables etc. Indian restaurant Lionel recommended was also very good. Comfortable bedroom with enough storage space, clean bathroom and living/kitchen area. The only minus point was using downstairs toilet during the night but that's our personal opinion. We recommend this cottage and would definitely stay here again without hesitation."
