"steve and sue was amazing hosts they made sure we had everything we needed and more, I have never experienced this level of hospitality from the moment we was on the train they were in contact to find out what time we would reach as they said we could enter the property before 4pm which was awesome as sometimes with other homes you would typically have to wait and by then you would be tired especially if you came from far on public transport, they also messaged us the night before to find out our dietary requirements in case we were veggies as they prepared a lovely hamper (the best one we've had so far),steve also gave us a lift into town which was appreciated as we didn't drive, when we arrived it felt like home to the moment we left (we really didn't want to leave) it was a truly relaxing place we was planning when we wanted to come back already hopefully in the next few months , we will definitely reccomend to friends and family,a lot of thought has gone into making S50076 high spec, warm, squeaky clean, no bugs or spiders ,amazing refreshing shower its just pure perfection, a must see/stay, thanks to steve and sue x.Gregg&Jade."

"The cottage was not clean when we arrived. There were grease and food marks on the kitchen cupboards and old food down the side of the cooker. There was a rug on the floor which looked very grubby. The cutlery in the kitchen was old and rusty and the pots and some of the mugs in the cupboard were stained. We went out to buy cleaning supplies the day we got there and I cleaned the cottage and disinfected it. We also had to buy some cutlery to use. The outside of the cottage was not particularly tidy and there seemed to be some sort of container out the back which is very unsightly. There were cushions on the double bed and one of them had a large stain on it. The whole place looked like it could do with some TLC and updating. There was a plague of flies every day and I realise the property is near/on a farm but something could be done to combat this as we counted at least 200 in our time there. We didn't complain as we had no idea where to complain to as nobody greets you on arrival. Thankfully we were only there four nights. We will not be returning."

"Bramble cottage was a nice base to visit all of the sites and towns in Somerset. It's not the best cottage that we have stayed in , although it does have all of the appliances , services and facilities that are needed for a very comfortable & enjoyable stay. We were a party of four adults & stayed there for 2 weeks during which we were very well accommodated in the cottage , as well as the large off-road parking area that it has . A little bit of DIY would not go amiss to make the place easy on the eye and there was quite a few cobwebs on external soffets/guttering. The staining of the wood around the doors & windows would benefit a touch up to really add character to the place. Yes we would go back to Bramble cottage in the future , as the hospitality of the staff is first class , the accommodation is comfortable and the location ideal"

"Lovely comfortable homely but modern cottage with fully fitted kitchen including washing machine and dishwasher and situated in very rural surroundings so a car is needed as shops and eateries not within walking distance. Nice touch having rotary dryers at the back. Would have liked to sit and admire the view across the fields but weather inclement while there. Thought a bigger sign with the cottages name on is warranted as it is quite difficult to find the turning into the driveway until you’re actually upon it. Lovely spacious gravel driveway to the cottages with plenty of turning room and backs on to the road for ease of access. Would go again to this lovely peaceful cottage."

"I stayed in Challey's Cottage with my husband, adult son and his partner for a long weekend. We found it very comfortable and the owners could not have been more accommodating. We saw badgers, deer, bats, buzzards and much more from our patio in the evening and were visited by cows at the garden fence in the morning. We visited the caves at Cheddar, the Bishop's garden at Wells and the lovely Victorian pier at Clevedon which were all within a half hour's drive. The owner, a local historian, was also able to tell us a lot about the history of the house and Mill and the wider local area. A very enjoyable stay."
