"S77884 is a lovely, and very much unique house. It is something of a rabbit warren of rooms, and there is plenty of space. The setting is lovely - a large amount of garden space, with lots of trees. It rained during our stay so we didn't use it, but there was a very nice looking set of outdoor furniture on a patio. There is a lot of equipment in the kitchen, which is great for a holiday house - lots of plateware, glasses, pots and pans etc. The dining room is a fairly long way from the kitchen, but is a large space with a lovely long glass window, a nice spot to sit and eat in. There is a table in the kitchen that seats four. The porch (mud room) was very useful for keeping wet clothes and boots out of the house. This is a house that contains a lot of stuff, so is not a place to stay if you're a minimalist! The upstairs bedrooms do share a bathroom, and that bathroom doesn't have a door, so that absolutely needs to be taken into consideration if you're a large group of people thinking of staying there! The smaller of the two rooms upstairs has two single beds, and not much other space, with a sloping roof. Very much a room for only sleeping in, and better suited to children. A great bonus was that a hot tub was installed just prior to our visit, and we enjoyed making use of that on several occasions. It was very hot, so not something you'd sit in for very long, but certainly enjoyable! Our main problem with this house is that whilst it is advertised as having wifi, which is technically does, it was incredibly weak and basically didn't work. It was enough for the occasional text message, but even things like emails and messages via facebook messenger weren't downloading at the house - they all flooded in when I connected to wifi at the pub down the road. One of our party had an important skype meeting set up for during our stay, and had to go elsewhere to do that, which was very inconvenient. I think that having the property advertised as having wifi is misleading, as it was ineffective for us."

"Heather is a warm and welcoming host, calling a few days beforehand to let us know about local walks and things to do in the area. The house was warm, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook. The showers were hot and had great pressure. Heather left us with a welcome hamper, which everyone appreciated. There were 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 children (14, 12 and 10) and our elderly dog. It is a peaceful location (especially since there is no mobile reception and the WiFi is quite poor). If you have young children, there are a lot of fiddly bits in the house (ornaments / clutter) that I would worry that young curious children could destroy. The garden is not enclosed or secure. The ad says that the boundary fence in the garden may not be secure for small pets. It definitely wasn't as a ram kept visiting the property daily causing a bit of stress for our dog.The kitchen table only allows 4 to sit at it. For more than that, you can use the dining room / conservatory, but you have to carry your food through the house to get to it, which is on the other side of the house. There is a washing machine and a dryer to use. The owner asks for a discretionary charge of £2 / wash and dry. The wood burning fireplace was cosy and easy to use and an lovely feature. We had a lovely peaceful time."

"Wow! Absolutely loved this cottage from the minute we stepped foot inside. Met the owners as we arrived and they gave us all the information we needed along with the helpful books with instructions and information for everything. We arrived just in time for the Pennal show weekend, and the village could not have been more welcoming. Machynlleth is only a very short drive to the shops and Aberdovey only a bit longer to reach the lovely beach. We also visited Aberystwyth and Barmouth and checked out the awesome Mach loop! Corrie craft centre is also worth a visit. The kids really enjoyed the games room in the evenings and the dogs loved the long walks up the hills and along the river. But the best thing is sitting in the garden and looking at the stunning scenery. Worth every penny! If you are looking for somewhere more metropolitan then Pennal then this not for you. If you are looking for a comfortable and well equipped cottage with stunning views of Snowdonia National Park, I cannot recommend S84270l highly enough."

"What a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. We arrived 3 hours early and they allowed us in. Cottage was spotless. I read the reviews before hand so was a bit worried but there were no problems at all. They were really welcoming. They spoke to us about what’s on in the area and where to go and as they own the Marina pub on the sea front too we were invited there with a discount for staying in their cottage the food was outstanding. We took our 2 pet dogs the garden was secure and Inclosed. And the whole place was pet friendly they enjoyed it too. After sight seeing it was nothing better to chill out in the hot tub and the summer house outside. We will be returning and I do recommend this cottage to anyone with pets, disabilities or a family get together. It’s very spacious. It even had a cleaning room with a washing machine and dryer so I was able to wash and dry everything before I went home. I’d give it a 5 star rating see you soon"

"The cottage itself was lovely, it was the touches that let it down. Cottage for 10 people with only 8 place settings at the dining table. Lamps with no bulbs. Not enough (any) baking trays. The bin was full when we arrived. The wi-fi doesn't work but that's because the phone line has been cut off. But the worst thing was the Customer Service, we had no hot water on arrival and had to call 3 times before an engineer was sent out. The next day we had to call again because it had stopped working and then had to call and call before an electrician was dispatched, he couldn't fix it so we had to stay in the next day for another one. In all of the phone calls that we made not once did we speak to the owner, always the Receptionist at the hotel.. and after all the trouble we had with the hot water not once did the owner call us to apologise for the inconvenience caused. She sent us a wi-fi dongle too, but it had no money on it....."
