Birmingham is often said to be the second city in the UK after London. Whilst residents of other proud and bustling cities such as Manchester, Edinburgh and Leeds might want to dispute that, Birmingham is certainly a place with a lot going on.
City living has some incredible perks. Fantastic restaurants with cuisine from across the globe, the best attractions and events, as well as the buzz that comes from being a part of a vibrant and diverse community.
As a former student at the University of Manchester, there always came that point in the semester when I needed to get away from the city. Fortunately, Manchester is located in a fantastic position for exploring the north of England.
