#AutumnPets competition… Winner Announced!
REVEALED: Snaptrip crowns the UK’s most photogenic pet!
There’s no denying that winter weather can be tough on pet owners. From cold, dark dog walks to muddy footprints on the sofa; it isn’t always the season to be jolly for Britain’s pet owners.
But we here at Snaptrip believe it’s just about the cutest time of year for our furry friends, which is why we asked the nation to submit their best photos of their winter-loving pets.
With a prize of £250 towards a pet-friendly cottage break and a bespoke goody bag for their pet up for grabs, the competition brought in over 400 entries throughout November 2016. And now, the winning entry has been revealed!
Congratulations Jack and his owner Abbi Lawrence from Suffolk!
Abbi submitted the below photo of Jack – her three-year-old Jack Russell/ Manchester Terrier/Beagle cross – helping her clear the leaves from the garden. The mischievous looking pup lives with Abbi, in her home in Bury St Edmunds.
Abi told us,
“I’m studying for my nursing degree, and writing essays is a challenge for me due to my dyslexia. Jack supports me when I get upset (which happened often!), giving me a lick and a cuddle and melting away my stress.”
“I’ve also made more friends since having Jack, and do more things on my own as I don’t feel like I’m alone when I’m with him.”

Matt Fox, the CEO of Snaptrip, says: “Winter can be a pretty miserable time, with wet weather and increasingly dark mornings making it tempting to stay inside and hibernate. We thought it would be fun to see how people’s pets make the most of it, though, and how we probably should too!
“Our pets can help turn a bad day into a good day, so we thought that they deserved a reward. It’s been incredible to see the ways people spend time outdoors with their pets, or keep them safe and warm inside. We think Abbi and Jack are extremely worthy winners. It’s amazing to hear how much Jack has helped Abbi.”
And of course, big commiserations all our runner ups!
