Bringing with it bunny-eared cuteness and boat loads of chocolate, the 30th March – 2nd April is a weekend for family fun and all round excitement. Spring is in full swing, it’s a four day weekend, and the days are so much longer already; all great things to celebrate. That and all the chocolate of course!
Which brings us onto our new favourite combination, The National Trust and Cadbury, who are getting together to bring hundreds (250, in fact!) of Easter-themed events to the UK. From fancy dress, to Cadbury treats and Easter-themed crafts these events have a bit of everything. Discover our favourite ones below and have yourself a fun-filled Easter weekend with the kids.
30th March – 2nd April, 10am – 4.00pm
Delve into a world of myths and legends at Stowe this Easter. Embark on a quest through the garden and around mystical lakes. Can you complete the trail and claim a chocolaty prize? Children of all ages as welcome, as is your dog if kept on a lead. Costumes are encouraged but don’t forget appropriate shoes for walking. If you can’t resist getting involved, adults may purchase a quest to complete too.

Studland Bay, Dorset
30th March – 2nd April, 10.30am – 3.30pm
Take a bunny hop into springtime on Studland’s Cadbury Egg Hunt. Follow the clues around the nature reserve and see the world through Bunny’s eyes, then collect your delicious Cadbury treat at the end. Why not make a day of it and explore the bay afterwards? With miles of wild heathland and sandy beaches to discover it’s perfect for a nature walk and a splash in the sea.

A Georgian mansion with stunning gardens, Saltram offers the perfect backdrop for an Easter egg hunt. Will you be able to spot the clues to solve the mystery? If you can, there is a deliciously chocolaty treat up for grabs. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and other signs of spring as you go.

Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire

Get outdoors this Easter and enjoy hunting all around the Hardwick Hall house, garden and along Lady Spencer’s wood in the ever-popular Cadbury Egg Hunt. There will be a delicious Cadbury treat waiting for you at the end of the hunt. Stick around afterwards to make the most of the family woodland play area for a run around and a picnic.

Gibside, Tyne & Wear

Explore the wild landscape at Gibside and follow the Cadbury Egg Hunt clues to find a delicious Cadbury treat at the end. Plus, don’t miss the free daily events held here throughout the Easter holidays. They are sure to keep the whole family entertained.

Penrhyn Castle, Gwynedd
24th March – 8th April, 10.30am – 4pm
Penrhyn is a ‘hive’ of activity this Easter bank holiday weekend. The honey bees are getting snazzy new homes; pop by to see the rangers hard to work on the 28th March or 5th and 12th April. These clever bees have also been helping the Cadbury bunny hide clues around the garden. See if you can solve the puzzle and earn a tasty chocolate treat.

Bodiam Castle, East Sussex

Bodiam Castle has survived since the 14th century and is set within a historic landscape. Let your imagination run wild as you claim your egg points where knights once walked and arrows were once fired. Gather enough points and a chocolaty treat will await you.
