The festive season can also be accompanied by hours of travelling and trying to work out whose turn it is to give up their bed for the in-laws. So this year, why not share the load and rent a gorgeous cottage? Think huge kitchens and enough sofa space so that no one is relegated to the floor. Here at Snaptrip, we have a whole range of fabulous properties available for the festive season, so to make life easy here are our favourite five that you could be waking up in on Christmas day…

The dining table is found a few steps above the kitchen so you can prepare the table without getting under the cook’s feet, but the food won’t have far to travel from the oven to the table either. After lunch enjoy a stroll around the 13 acres of lawn and woodland.
4. Tasteful Kingston Cottage
If you’re looking for something extravagant and unforgettable this Christmas, this could be the place. A short drive from Edinburgh, this tower sleeps 13 people. With plenty of rooms everyone should be able to find some breathing space, but there is also an impressively long dining table for that all important Christmas lunch. It’s just the place to bring everyone together.

This beautiful cottage in Abersoch, Wales is a cosy place to spend Christmas. The open plan layout means that whether you’re stoking the wood burner, cooking up a storm, laying the table or eyeing up the presents; no one will feel left out.
