"A really comfy and cosy cottage in a delightful area. Waking to the gorgeous countryside views was absolutely wonderful. This was an early family Christmas break and the Christmas decor and log burner made the break so enjoyable. A really nice pub is fairly close to the cottage and there are great walks. It’s also close enough to visit Chester, plus Cheshire Oaks and we even travelled to Liverpool. The owner Jane was also extremely welcoming. The fittings within the cottage are of high quality and it’s very tastefully decorated. This is a great property for a family, but I’m not sure if it would be ideal for 2 couples even though it easily sleeps 4 people. The upstairs has quite low ceilings for adults and the only bathroom is also the ensuite of the downstairs bedroom. However, that said we will be returning as we loved our stay!"

"It is modern, spacious and well equipped. The second floor lounge is a lovely place to sit and watch the narrow boats, ducks and swans on the river. The town centre with its old and new areas is just a short walk away. There are lots of interesting places to visit and there is plenty of tourist information provided. If you are a member of the National Trust Tatton Park, Dunham Massey and Quarry Bank Mill and gardens are a short drive away. A visit to Liverpool is recommended taking a guided tour on the yellow bus. It takes about fifty minutes and you can get off and on at various stops around the city. There is a direct train service to Liverpool Lime Street station from Hartford station, about 2 miles from Northwich, but car parking is limited due to commuters and costs £3.70 on weekdays."

"The cottage was charming, fresh, thoughtfully equipped and in immaculate condition. The owners made us feel very welcome. We only have a couple of niggles. We had to get the owners in to help us work the new state-of-the-art microwave, despite having instructions - however, they were very helpful and urged us to ask if we had any similar problems. The bathroom was somewhat cramped with little room to dry oneself after a shower. Also, the towels were too heavy for the hooks and kept falling off. I think a fixed towel might solve this. And it seemed impossible to get both heat (not that we really needed it!) and water pressure from the shower - I suggested the owner look at this. Overall, however, we loved our stay the sanctuary of the Beehive and rural Betley."

"The cottage is brilliant, plenty of room, very bright, we loved the lighting that they have done in the cottage. We were very lucky that we had a fabulous week with the weather, so spend most of it with all the doors open in the cottage and eating outside. The main bedroom is lovely plenty of room, the other bedrooms are very nice, not over big and could do with some drawers for putting some things away, even though there's drawers under the bed. We had a great week and have already recommended this cottage to friends, they came to visit while we were there and they loved it."

"Spent 4 lovely nights at this beautiful cottage set within the owners grounds in a stunning location. The photographs dont do it justice! The facilities within the cottage suited our family perfectly; we have two daughters aged 14 and 4. They were excited to sleep in the spacious loft area, sit and read and play games up there. Outside there are glorious views of perfect Cheshire! We thoroughly enjoyed the walks nearby and saw plenty of wild birds, rabbits and squirels. A great base to explore from. Friendly owners. Would we go back? Absolutely! It was truly beautiful."
