"Good clear instructions from the owner so easy to find and arrange arrival time. S14078 is within their large front garden. Plenty of parking and privacy. We found S14078 to be warm and comfy, milk, biscuits and flowers were left for us showing the owners appreciation of our booking- that was a lovely touch. Bathroom and kitchen clean, also all bedding, pillows and duvet. Seating area both upstairs and in the kitchen diner, we were informed that we could move furniture around to fit our own needs but we enjoyed the TV upstairs with it's homely sofa and cushions. Shop and pub in walking distance but with the main road being busy ( you do not have to cross) we gave this a miss as we relaxed with a drink back at S14078. Morrisons is about 5 miles further up the road so we just did one shop for the week we stayed. For us we would stay again but in the winter, just the right place for slippers, jim-jams and a nice malt whisky . They even had a full draw of DVD's! If there was drift's of snow outside what would we care!!! Loved it!"

"Pros: Lovely grounds (good grassy area for kids games) and nice outdoor area for eating if weather permits.Great kitchen/diner area - big table, big fridge freezer, large kitchen top area for preparing meals. Dishwasher worked well. Wi-fi worked well.Well supplied with crockery/utensils (except see below).Adult bed was comfortable and adult room had lots of storage space.Very helpful and friendly hosts (including the cat).Cons:Sofas were not very comfortable. Television needs to be much bigger (and smarter in this day and age). Toaster needs to be bigger (would not completely toast a standard sized slice of bread and you couldn't fit a Warburtons crumpet in it!). We were always running out of teaspoons (perhaps another 4 would suffice). Kids said their beds were not very comfortable and their room was rather small with two beds squeezed in it.Oil burner leaked over the floor during prolonged rain.Independent control over the radiators would be a bonus (they are controlled from the main house.)"

"Lovely cottage in a lovely setting. We enjoyed the little garden area, and the owners were very helpful. It was perfectly situated for us to go to a wedding at nearby Horsebridge Station and then have a little break afterwards.Local pubs are good, both in the village and in Horsebridge. Found a lovely spot to walk at Stockbridge Marsh. Nicely decorated, lovely area, good local amenities and not far to local attractions.Three things we felt could improve the stay:1) more welcome information, particularly about what could go in which bin and where nearest petrol and big shops are located etc.2) an electric dehumidifier. The cottage was very humid and felt damp (although no mould or damp spots evident). Our clothes and bedding felt a bit damp to the touch and a proper dehumidifier just for an hour or so a day would have improved things.3) a footstool to go with the sofa would be nice.Otherwise, nice and functional."

"S14075 itself cannot be faulted in any way. It is the perfect place to go if you want a relatively secluded and relaxing time in the new forest. There are a number of lakes around the property which are a nice walk in itself. It is in the best place possible for exploration of the new forest. It should be noted however that the property is relatively near an A road and that unavoidably there is the faint sound of traffic, but only from outside the property. Although we did not see the owners this was not a problem at all and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Perhaps we could return in the summer and sit on the lovely veranda without freezing to death. Many thanks for a very enjoyable stay. "

"S87084 is finished to a very high standard and everything you could need has been supplied. The owners are extremely nice people for whom nothing is too much trouble. Although the owners live next door they respected our privacy and left us to enjoy our break, but were easily contactable if we had any queries. The location is beautiful, peaceful and typical English Countryside with quaint villages & Thatched Cottages. The local pub, The Crown Inn is only a 5 minutes walk away and they offer good food to eat in or takeaway. A truly wonderful place to escape to the country, I would highly recommend this property and will be returning as soon as they have availability."
