"We had a wonderful stay in S50317 with our two sobs ( aged 6 and 14 years). It was a bit fiddly to find, but that was more because the Sat Nav took us in via the town centre streets and not the back roads as I had expected. However the house couldn't be more perfectly placed. It took us only a minute to hit the high street and the beach only a minute or two more. Everything we needed was such a short walk away and yet we could sit in the garden and hardly hear any noise ( other than the seagulls!). The house on arrival was spotless. We have stayed in a different holiday house every year for the last thirteen years and this one was one of the cleanest we have stayed in. And it was so comfortable. We all felt at home straight away. The welcome package was much appreciated, especially the chocolate cake! Everything else we needed was found after a search of the cupboards. The extra seating area in the garage was a nice surprise. My only criticism, and it's a small one, is the glass doors on the bedroom doors. It made privacy in issue, particularly with our teenage son, and also let two much light into the boys room, which disturbed our youngest son. We had to put our car blanket over the door which then meant the door couldn't be closed properly, which then meant the sounds from the living room disturbed him at bedtime. Also the downstairs toilet is actually outside but was still very clean and the weather was mostly kind to us so not a problem.Again, small issues. It certainly wouldn't stop us from staying at S50317 again, or from recommending it most highly."

"Relaxed English seaside break, visited interesting places, took long walks and photos. The double glass doors open onto an uninterrupted view of the sea. We had breakfast each morning outside on the decking. The bay - rock pools, pleasant walk by the sea and "wow look at those cliffs" type - is very close. Having a key to the steps through the cliff was a novelty. Apparently the writer of 'The 39 Steps' used to live nearby. * en suite shower room with a shower that I could actually get to work properly; plenty of clean towels * welcome pack - bread, milk, butter, juice * kitchen - including fridge, oven, toaster, microwave and kettle * good Wi-Fi - we didn't play games or stream films, but for Google searches and email it was very reliable * huge TV with Sky package and dvd player with large dvd collection * effective hair dryer * good quality steam iron and ironing board * air cooling unit * food shops, towns and beaches a short car drive away * no problem accessing the private estate * easy parking for one car * our hosts were friendly and helpful but gave us our space Can't fault the accommodation. Parking in local towns is expensive and the machines don't always take notes or cards. There is some road parking and our host had some suggestions locally. In Broadstairs you can pay for the car park using your mobile phone and card. It is also probably worth checking out routes that avoid Broadstairs town centre if you don't need to go there."

"A long weekend stay with my mother and sister. The owners were excellent and provided a very personal service something I have never experienced before. They emailed me before the holiday were very welcoming and provided lots of local information suitable to my circumstances. Colin was at the property on arrival and facilitated the parking of two vehicles and gave instructions for direct access to train station and beach. S78515 is exceptional, clean and beautifully decorated with everything that was needed for a very comfortable stay. The owners left a lovely welcome basket of yummy things and a welcome card.We didnt need to ring them as the weekend went very well with no hiccups. I was left in no doubt had they been any issues then they would have been there quickly to resolve them. My daughter is at uni in Kent and I would always consider this a bit of a bolt hole for my family. I have no doubt that if you were just holidaying it would be a great base for a family of 4. Sad to have left little ted, S78515 bear snuggled up on the bed in the twin room. Go and visit him say hello from me."

"We stayed at this apartment 4 years ago. The apartment is well furnished and in a good sea front location. However the cleaning could be improved. The ensuite did not look clean at all and the fridge and some pans, dishes and utensils were also in need of cleaning. The main bathroom shower suddenly runs cold for no reason. The bedroom doors are so heavy they slam shut constantly and there are no door wedges making the rooms very hot and stuffy. Bath towels are of the smaller size. However it is Broadstairs that's the real problem. It is busy beyond capacity so we could not book tables for dinner until 8.45-9.15pm. We ate in mostly as a result. Many businesses shut on Monday and Tuesday after a busy weekend with London weekenders! Thanet is now so busy it takes 30 minutes to get out of the area before you can travel to attractions! A less than ideal apartment and a very congested town do not make for a good holiday! We won't be back!"

"S13549 is a modern apartment that, although it isn't at the front of the building, you can still see the sea from the lounge and one of the bedrooms. It has its own allocated parking space which is good as street parking in Broadstairs can be difficult especially at weekends and during holidays. The seating in the lounge was not particularly comfortable and the DVD player needs to be replaced as it is very slow at working and doesn't play some DVD's. The en-suite shower has good power. The kitchen could have been cleaner - the worktops felt sticky - and there was spilled coffee down the front on a drawer unit. Although we enjoyed the views of the sea, which were always changing due to the weather and different craft sailing, we probably wouldn't return to Stonebay as Broadstairs didn't live up to our expectations - too many fish and chip shops and not enough cultural activities."
