What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Broad Oak To Rent.

"This is a rural hideaway cottage, which reflects the eco-friendly aspirations of the owner, and has French windows opening onto a large area of private woodland, awash with bluebells (May) and birdlife. We were given a warm and friendly welcome and told that, if we needed anything, we just needed to knock at the door. There are no shops or pubs in the immediate vicinity, but there is a farm shop 10 minutes' drive away and an excellent pub in the picturesque (and much filmed) village of Chilham also about 10 minutes' drive away - we did walk to Chilham through lovely country lanes, but you need to set aside a couple of hours for that. It was a great base from which to explore Kent (there were plenty of relevant maps, books and brochures in the cottage) - our favourite places being Canterbury and its lovely cathedral, Whitstable and Faversham, plus the National Trust properties at Chartwell, Sissinghurst Castle and the White Cliffs of Dover. If you enjoy country lanes, landscape and nature, then this makes for a very convenient and homely base with adequate kitchen and bathroom facilities - and a very comfortable bed!"

"Due to the fact that our Internet connection was repeatedly on our way and our route planner was unreliable, we had a lot of trouble finding the house, despite the fact that we had received the coordinates. In addition, we were severely delayed by ferry and file. However, the owner kept us in touch - every time we were able to connect by telephone - very patiently, just as long as we reached the house (one hour late). Despite the raining rain and the late time we were warmly welcomed in a lovely Cottage with every possible comfort, from power adapters to hair dryer and any imaginable type of kitchenware. Milk in the fridge, beautiful bouquets on the table, a lovely wood stove lit directly for us, hiking maps and all kinds of tourist information. A warm welcome to a delicious, green, quiet place!"

"I've been staying in cottages for many years and Claire's Cottage is my favourite so far. Despite being tiny it is light, comfortable, cosy and very well equipped with a pretty garden. It has been restored beautifully retaining nearly all the original and historic features and it's interesting to look at the album showing photos of the restoration. The location is excellent. You can walk into Hythe (if you have the energy to walk back up the hill) which is a historic little town of great character and there are plenty of interesting places to see in the Romney Marshes without having to go far. If you have a wet day use it to go to Dungeness on the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway! I have already recommended this cottage to a friend and I am sure I shall visit it again in the future."

"We have here with our children two great weeks spent. The very complete furnishing of the house you feel already very much at home, and the attentions of owner Angela contribute additional to this. Flowers on the table and the first supplies in the fridge, great. The house is very quiet on a closed estate, but in the immediate vicinity is a lot to see and do. In nearby Hythe are many facilities available, and this is well complemented by the towns of Ashford and Folkestone, both within fifteen minutes away. From Ashford is to reach the center of London by train in half an hour. Closer we have found, inter alia, the RHDR steam train, the beaches and the coastal park of Folkestone and Port Lympne safari park very worthwhile. We certainly hope to return again to this wonderful holiday!"

"This cottage is spectacular in decor and location, and for the friendliness of its owner Steve - who forgave us breaking his lovely flower holder (we managed to stick it back together again so hopefully no one notices). The location is amazing with great countryside all around a lovely small village close by, a great pub up the road and plenty to do for day trips. We were there in bitter winter conditions at the beginning of February but we still had an amazing time with the wood-burning stove and a good video or two. The cottage is so well furnished and designed that I wanted to copy all the ideas in it. Stay here if you want to be in the countryside surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful things. You will love it."
