"Villa Lea is situated in it's own large garden with swimming pool, patio, badminton / volley ball net, BBQ , washing line and plenty of parking for our 3 cars. You could probably accommodate 6 or more cars. There was also a small child's slide / swing combo but it was a bit too weathered to be of use. The villa was not overlooked and sited at the end of it's own 50 yard drive. The swimming pool had steps at one end and was uniformly about 1.4 M deep. A pivoted cover had to be raised at the beginning and end of the day. The roof panels are quite heavy so you need at least two people for this job. We always found the water temperature to be fine. There is a large double garage with a modern very good table tennis table. There were some bats and balls but these had seen better days. The garage also contained a washing machine, tumble drier, small top loading freezer and a fridge. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, crockery and glassware. There was also a kettle, second fridge, oven/hob, filter coffee machine, toaster and dish washer. There was an added bonus of an electric fly / insect zapper that helped to control but not entirely limit pests that fly in if the patio doors are left open. The only utensil we could not find was a wire brush to clean the BBQ griddle (but we bought and left one). The Lounge and dining area contained adequate seating and a large dining table. There was a modern TV and a choice of French or English TV channels. The only incident we had was when the satellite box stopped working after a storm. It was fixed the day after we reported it so did not miss any of the World Cup!We had an 8 month baby with us. Although we took our own cot and high chair with us those at the house were of good quality and modern. All of the bedrooms had adequate wardrobes or hanging space. Two double bedrooms and two twins. The downstairs double bedroom had a bed with electronic controls. The downstairs bathroom was a wet room with fold away seat for someone who needs assistance to shower. The upstairs bathroom had a Jacuzzi with shower over but the shower wall bracket was missing. The landing area had an iron and ironing board. There was a Wi Fi router for Internet access but virtually no signal downstairs. Don't expect to watch streamed videos as access was not fibre optic standard (at least not as quick as my uk service) and phone signal was pretty much non existent at the house but ok just down the road. All windows were double glazed and protected by electric shutters. The owners were both very nice. Their English was limited but why should it not be as they live in France. A couple of our party spoke passable French so it was not a problem. The coast was about an hours travel away, and there were plenty of other places to visit within the same time distance. The nearest bakers was about 1.5 miles away and Quintin 7 or 8 miles away had two large super markets (and a Lidl). The only time we saw a traffic jam was when visiting St Brieuc but mostly due to roadworks. If you drive to Quintin you will not be held up and can be there in 15 minutes (the ferry at St Malo is about 90 minutes)."

"We have just returned from our stay at Le Sillon. Firstly the good points - the view was brilliant from both the garden and the sitting room and constantly changed with the tide as the sea was literally a 2 minute walk away. There was a restaurant just behind the beach and the owner of the local bar was very friendly and we went there quite a few evenings for a glass of wine before returning to the house after a walk along the paths behind the beaches and coastline. Unfortunately, the double bed in the second bedroom was very bad as the mattress sagged towards the middle and gave me a back ache. Somebody else had obviously had problems with the bed because they had put chair cushions under the mattress. I was going to sleep in one of the single beds but they had sheets of cardboard under their mattresses so that they were very noisy to sit on, let alone sleep on. The facilities included Satellite TV but there were no English channels. There is no WIFI either and the CD player did not work. The kettle was a travel kettle so was very small and slow. There was no gate on the drive so that it was not secure for our dog to go out into the garden without one of us following behind him everywhere. The owners manual included useful contact telephone numbers, how to use the television and the washing machine, but did not mention how to use the alarm on the swimming pool. The open-tread staircase has obviously been replaced as it is now not open-tread, but unfortunately this has been done badly as it is not level and the top step was only two inches to the landing, which meant that it could be a trip hazard. We would not go back, as there would appear to be places which are much better value for money."

"We have had a nice holiday week in this nice cottage. Rest, silence, plenty of space. The gîte is nicely decorated and quite complete. Shops and amenities are within easy driving distance. Within walking distance there is only a bakery and a very limited small shop. Our dog also had a good time in her mind. Minutes are unfortunately not cleaned! At the kitchen nothing was done, the pastry's fat was still on the plate, dirty cutlery and cutlery, blue glasses and dusty cabinets. Also the toilet was not clean and the shower either. We have addressed the one who cleaned up there, but that turned out to be a difference of insight. French battle? E40, for the final cleaning is not real to be called! A clothes rack o.i.d would also be nice because you can not lose your clothes nowhere. Only in the closet where the vacuum cleaner was etc were 3 clothes hooks. The jacuzzi did not work properly and there was too much chlorine in the water. The mattresses are very replaceable! On a scratch we received the final payment ... All in all, some improvement but overall a good stay."

"Superb gite suitable for up to 8 people although we were only 4 + a baby. Swimming pool is excellent but requires a strong person + a helper to draw the roof back to swim. We did have a problem with the flies (late August) but managed to get on top of the problem with an instant fly killer. Superb location in lovely grounds in a sparsely populated area, so a peaceful holiday was possible. Plenty of equipment to play games eg. table tennis, boules. Le Bodeo (less than 1 km) has a must-see church. Local shop, garage and restaurant in St. Martin Des Pres (3km) couldn't be relied upon when we were there (too late in the season?) so best to go into Corlay (5km?). Everything else about our stay was in the gite was really good and owners friendly and helpful. Good supermarkets, with fuel, in Quintin (bit further out - 10 mins drive in direction of St. Brieuc). Great zoo at Tregomeur (about 10 km north -west of St Brieuc). Beach at Binic (about 12 km north of St Brieuc very good when tide has come in a little bit and town has plenty of good sea-food restaurants. Enjoy!"

"The 4 bedroom house was spacious and comfortable, with a large garden and outdoor dining area. It was full of equipment. All the machines worked well, and electricity was included in the price. However, although the info said that Wi Fi was included, it had to be paid for via an 'orange' hub. The instructions were unclear and we had to visit an 'orange' outlet in Quimper to get it to function. This required a payment of 40 euros put on to the sim card. This lasted just a week, and we had to repeat the process for a second week, at a cost of another 40 euros. The house coped well with our family which for one night amounted to 7 persons, the maximum. We found the upstairs wooden floorboards very squeaky, which woke some up when anyone used the facilities during the night."
