What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Bovingdon To Rent.

"The cottage was fine but to describe it as luxurious (as in your description) is misleading. We were requested to phone the contact you gave us to confirm time of arrival and to be given a security code for the gate. This we did twice, leaving messages to phone us back but received no reply. We had to obtain this info. from your office. On arrival we found two bulbs not working in the sitting room which was already ill lit. We mentioned this to someone on site but they were not replaced and no other contact with us was made. If there was a visitor book we could not find one. This disregard for the paying customer seemed arrogant. We have used your company before and this experience would not put us off booking with you again but we would be disappointed if you did not mention our comments to the owners of Gardener's Cottage."

"Studio at little trees farm is a beautifully presented loft conversion with great attention to detail and quality fittings and appliances throughout. Great bathroom with large shower. Match that with a very friendly warm welcome and a thoughtfully stocked studio and you have a perfect combination. This is one of the very best Sykes properties we have stayed in. Location wise it is perfect for local large village with nice pubs and eateries. Excellent location for visiting central London for a show or whatever. Within easy driving distance of Cambridge and Oxford which are both so well worth a visit. Discovering picture perfect villages in the area is also a must. Last point, why do Sykes list this property as Cambridgeshire ? That is not correct, it is Hertfordshire in fact. Please amend. J & J"

"I have stayed there twice this season and had wonderful times both times. Everything is there at the cottage you could possibly want and need. Only one thing missing a vase for flowers ! A minor thing, so I just took my own. Because it sleeps three it is a great place for a single person to holiday with friends, which is exactly what I did. I stayed with family from Yorkshire there, and last week friends from New Zealand there. I am a local girl who loves Wendover anyway, but they all loved it. So many walks to do from there, depending on the rain of course, and enough restaurants in Wendover to eat at a different one every night. Although everything is supplied for cooking at the cottage which we also did several nights. Thank you a wonderful place, but I don't want to tell many people !"

"Beautifully modernised 19th century cottage, very tastefully kitted out with all mod cons. Wendover is very charming, though hardly traffic-free, and the Chilterns are absolutely beautiful & a walker's paradise (at least until HS2 arrives). The cottage wouldn't suit the less able-bodied, with bedroom & bathroom on different levels, necessitating a somewhat hazardous night-time visit to the loo. The walls are thin, so it's possible to hear the next-door neighbours thundering up and down the stairs, not to mention two disagreeably yappy dogs. The "welcome pack" is a pint of milk, although the (overpriced) Tesco Express is 100 yards down the road. Although there are clear disadvantages, as above, the accommodation is of impressive quality overall."

"We were very impressed with this cottage. It was so well equipped and beautifully decorated. It was truly a home from home. The only thing missing was a downstairs toilet, (as I was with an elderly relative that would have been useful as the stairs are hard for him) but that's being picky. The Internet was good and the location nice, with some lovely dog walks around . It's a bit of a walk to the shops but not too far. The pub at the end of the road The Chequer Tree had amazing steaks. The rail link to London was from Great Missenden and took around 38 mins. A taxi to the station was around £6 it was £4 to park in the station but spaces are non existent during the week, so I would advise a cab if you are going to venture into the city."
