"This is a rural hideaway cottage, which reflects the eco-friendly aspirations of the owner, and has French windows opening onto a large area of private woodland, awash with bluebells (May) and birdlife. We were given a warm and friendly welcome and told that, if we needed anything, we just needed to knock at the door. There are no shops or pubs in the immediate vicinity, but there is a farm shop 10 minutes' drive away and an excellent pub in the picturesque (and much filmed) village of Chilham also about 10 minutes' drive away - we did walk to Chilham through lovely country lanes, but you need to set aside a couple of hours for that. It was a great base from which to explore Kent (there were plenty of relevant maps, books and brochures in the cottage) - our favourite places being Canterbury and its lovely cathedral, Whitstable and Faversham, plus the National Trust properties at Chartwell, Sissinghurst Castle and the White Cliffs of Dover. If you enjoy country lanes, landscape and nature, then this makes for a very convenient and homely base with adequate kitchen and bathroom facilities - and a very comfortable bed!"

"Lovely holiday home, nicely furnished and colour coordinated. Had everything we needed for our stay. The owner was very helpful when there was a issue with WiFi on arrival, sorted quickly. Lovely welcome pack of tea/coffee , biscuits, milk and their own farm fruits. Only downside was there were quite a few spiders, one huge one so if you are an arachnophobe beware, was bitten by nasties also but this is a working fruit farm so expected. Lovely bird life to admire, including owls in barn. Overall a lovely stay , great for visiting local area, beaches and train to London for day trip."

"The experience began negatively in connection with motorway blockades in France. But once arrived at the location, this became positive. A lovely old environment with a small village character. We immediately felt at home there. The area is diverse and lends itself to long walks (you have to study routes otherwise you will walk along motorways). Beautiful and quiet area. Friendly people. Cozy village pub. Nice base also for sight-seeing, such as Cantebury, Dover, London. Good connection with train from local station."

"We picked out The Cart Shed from an internet search and it was as good as we'd hoped it would be! Nice and quiet, well off the beaten track but not too far from local amenities in the nearby villages (we found Hoo St Werburgh was the best spot for local shopping). The Cart Shed is welcoming and comfortable with a nice open-plan layout and the added bonus of a fenced garden where the children could safely let off steam. This was a great spot for a family break and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it."

We were so impressed that we will return again in the near future and will be regular visitors. The owners are lovely people and VERY friendly and helpful.
