What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Blackburn With Darwen To Rent.

"We visited for a long weekend with our two year old daughter and had really lovely stay. The cottage is obviously very new and it is much bigger than the pictures give justice two. Two large bedrooms and very large open plan kitchen dining lounge leading to patio and nice sized back garden. The cottage was spotlessly clean. The hot tub is a nice addition and it has a wooden gazebo cover which with the Lancashire weather in March was welcomed. The cottage is a lovely spot with short walk down to Ribchester and just across the road to the great, quirky Stydd Gardens. If you like running, walking or cycling you’ll enjoy the location. The walk down the river to Dinkley Bridge is stunning or run up the hill to New Drop Inn and beyond. We recommend the afternoon tea at Stydd Cafe (amazing) and The Potters Barn was superb for home cooked food. The cottage is really well equipped though we’d have liked a couple of small additions - salt, pepper, sugar and perhaps a box of tissues. Also the two ensuites don’t benefit from the underfloor heating and were a bit chilly! But very minor grumbles really don’t detract from a superb cottage."

"From start to finish it has been an absolute pleasure to deal with Ribble Valley Holidays. Staff have gone above and beyond to answer our enquiries, even making phone calls on our behalf to try to source a local beauty salon. The facilities at the cottage were way beyond expectations and we were thrilled upon arrival to find such a high standard of accommodation and comfort. The cottage was fully equipped for all eventualities, even setting us up with a starter pack for the log burning fire over a very cold and snowy weekend. Our weekend was a huge success and the beautiful cottage certainly was a contributing factor to this. We are already looking at when we might book again."

"I booked S45066 to accomodate an American Rock band, while they were over here, for part of their tour so they could experience "real" England. They loved the place and also the local pubs and restaurants. The owners of the property met us on arrival and explained everything and could not have been more helpful. If you want to stay in the North West and have a great base to do so , I could not think of a better place to stay. I think it is only fair to point out that the property is at the top of the village so you need a good pair of legs if you decide to walk down to the pub(s), but it's not a great distance (about 10 mins, in a car it's 2 mins)"

"Location was beautiful. However, the cottage is only designed for two people. Our son had to use the futon bed in the lounge which was the most uncomfortable futon we have had to use to date. In the lounge there was only one comfortable chair between three of us. On the Wednesday morning we woke to find dog excrement on the path outside our front door which must have been from the proprietors dogs. We found the proprietor to be less than courteous and after arriving at the cottage after a day out she spoke to us like we were naughty school children. We ended up leaving a day earlier than we should have done and were glad to get home!"
