"Overall great place to stay. Lovely little blacksmiths terrace cottage, beautifully furnished inside and out, with most facilities well thought out and considered.Ninn left us with fresh milk and some Parkin cake which was a nice touch. She has lots of leaflets on places to go in the local vicinity so you don’t need to do to much homework before you arrive. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with a oven, microwave, sink and all the pans, crockery and utensils that you are likely to need. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a lovely waterfall shower which can be switched to a normal shower head if needed. The bedroom is above the living room and has a very comfortable bed and bedding. We opted for the bed to be made up as a double but it could be separated as two singles if preferred. The cottage is in central Clitheroe so within easy reach if everything in the town. The only negative is that parking is slightly difficult as you are relying on availability of parking in the street on a first come first served basis. We did park on the Majestic car park around the corner if there wasn’t a space in the road which was alright but a bit of a pain when we arrived and wanted to unload our luggage.Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would recommend it for couples wanting a weekend away."

"We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and had a lovely relaxing time. The cottage was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. The garden was very small but had been made to look really pretty so as we had lovely weather we spent a lot of time sat out there in the sun. Although the property was near a busy street and 2 minute walk from a big supermarket it was actually lovely and quiet. The castle and the shops were within walking distance so once we had parked the car we didn't use it again all weekend. The owner is lovely, although we didn't meet her she left us friendly notes and even posted back my kindle charger that we had left behind."

"I booked Stone Edge to accomodate an American Rock band, while they were over here, for part of their tour so they could experience "real" England. They loved the place and also the local pubs and restaurants. The owners of the property met us on arrival and explained everything and could not have been more helpful. If you want to stay in the North West and have a great base to do so , I could not think of a better place to stay. I think it is only fair to point out that the property is at the top of the village so you need a good pair of legs if you decide to walk down to the pub(s), but it's not a great distance (about 10 mins, in a car it's 2 mins)"

"We stayed here as a family group of 6 for a pre Christmas get together, with ages ranging from 40s to 80s. We found the property to be of a high quality finish with good bedrooms, bathrooms and facilities. The open plan kitchen/ lounge/ dining room was perfect for our get together - the cooks were always part of the party. We loved the position and views from this cottage, looking out over the valley. Parking and on-site staff were good. The only negative we had was that other parties in neighbouring houses were noisy enjoying the outside hot tubs until midnight/ 1am. This disturbed the sleep of our party in the rooms nearest the noisy property."

"My elderly Mum was having extensive building work done in her home.I needed to move her out for the duration of the work.I chose Stone edge because it was local and would allow me to keep an eye on the progress of the work.It was a very good choice. This holiday let must rank as one of the very best.It is beautifully maintained, comfortable and clean as a new pin.Nothing has been left to chance, there is everything you could possibly need.My thanks and compliments go to Paul and Rita.Their property was a real 'home from home' and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Highly recommended."
