"We've just had a really lovely family Christmas at S80439. We wanted a 'generous' type of place to facilitate this and make it a proper treat, and it did not disappoint! All the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated to a very high standard, with comfortable beds and luxurious linen and towels. The equipment is abundant and high-tech with pretty much anything you could possibly want supplied- the coffee machine was excellent, and we had fun with the robot hoovers! The welcome basket was a lovely surprise which we weren't expecting, generously filled with the best of local produce, including a hand-made Christmas cake from Helen, one of the owners- a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. Communication regarding the booking and various practicalities was excellent, and their posting on of a couple of things we managed to forget was very kind of them.We didn't venture very far afield, mainly because we were enjoying ourselves in the house too much! Bromyard is a very short drive away, with some interesting and useful shops, and a farm vending shop a couple of minutes up the road supplies logs, eggs, and that sort of thing. We didn't make a lot of use of the outside areas apart from a game of boules as it was too cold, but enjoyed the superb views from the sun lounge to the full."

"Two main aspects : 1) The owners are very friendly and helpful. 2) The cottage is not suitable for elderly people, and this should be clearly stated in your description , e.g. the stairs are not just steep, but extremely steep. The access from the recommended parking is over grotesquely uneven cobbled area, slippery if wet. At the moment the area around the cottage is a building site, as a barn con version is going on immediately adjacent to the cottage. That mean that instead of rural tranquillity the visitors have the noise of heavy machinery all working day long. Why did you not tell us about this ?"

"We had a lovely stay at S80439. Steve and Helen left us the best welcome hamper of food that we have ever been met with, plus a huge and delicious homemade Victoria sponge cake. The house is large, warm and very comfortable. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, the bathrooms modern and well equipped. The kitchen has very high quality fittings and equipment; we cooked big meals with ease. The weather when we stayed was too wet to make use of the large garden, patio seating or pizza oven but we enjoyed the wide open views of the valley from the conservatory and ventured out on some lovely, if wet, walks from the front door. There are two pubs within walking distance (1 mile) and food shops are a short drive away. We were a party of 10 and all of us would highly recommend this house. It is worth noting (for those with mobility issues) that the ground floor is not on the level, there are a couple of steps down from sitting room to kitchen and kitchen to conservatory."

"Fabulous holiday cottage with just about everything you could wish for. A very thoughtful welcome basket on arrival, toys and games for all ages, every pot,pan ,plate and glass that you could need and more- super space, comfortable beds. The owners were very accommodating, our children wanted to surprise us and hire a hot tub for a few days, which they agreed to and which we thoroughly enjoyed. The pool table offered us hours of competitive fun! There are lovely walks (detailed in the information book that is provided ) from right outside the front door.Unfortunately the local pub has closed down-the nearest is pub is about a 5minute drive away, S16993 is on a very busy main road so we thought walking was not advisable .Eight of us stayed at S16993 and eight of us would stay again!!"

"We had a family gathering (8 adults, 6 children and 2 dogs) to celebrate a 70th birthday. We loved the spaciousness of the property - the beds were comfortable and it was spotlessly clean.Being a historic listed building, there was not the level of "luxury" one might get in other places, but perfectly adequate. The older children used the internet service extensively, though this was subject to speed restrictions, which caused some frustration. The outdoor table-tennis was a surprise - and we had the beautiful weather to use it.We were pleased that our visit coincided with one of the 6 days a year when the NT part of the house was open to the public - a real bonus. The road access had rather a lot of potholes, but this is not unexpected in a farm track."
