"Loved the location at the end of a country lane but also being close enough to a main route. Beautiful cottage, large airy and spacious. Sun trap of a back garden. Bonus of 3 toilets too! Our little boy lived the baskets of toys around the property and spent every available minute playing with them-a super idea.Well equipped and large kitchen. Plenty of parking for 2 cars outside the property too. Limited internet connection 3G sometimes 4g didn’t bother us as it was nice to switch off from everyday life. The towels in the bathroom were tired feeling and odd. Plus they weren’t big enough to wrap around your body. All our ‘group’ 4 adults commented on this. They were only big enough to wrap round our 4 year old!!! Bath towels or bath sheets would have been better than a small hair towel! Also if you are having children stay in the property plastic cups/glasses plates/ bowls would be a good addition. There was one child’s fork in the drawer but the rest of the set-knife and spoon were missing. Another thought would be to put some tea towels in the kitchen too rather than just a towel/tea towel-much more hygienic. We went through all the drawers but couldn’t find one. However we all really enjoyed our stay at S20457 and would recommend it to family and friends in the future."

"We stayed here Easter weekend and it is just perfect, photos don't do justice to the size of this place. The rooms are all perfect and spacious and the bathrooms are beautiful, the underfloor heating is a fabulous touch. Everything was so clean, and there was nothing that wasn't thought of, down to baby monitors and night lights. The kitchen has everything you need to make lots of dinners...and it's all so clean!! Lovely cream tea left as well as two bottles of lovely wine. The garden is so beautiful and the children had lots of fun when the rain held off. We saw lots of wildlife just sitting eating dinner. This is so peaceful and made a perfect base for us to explore, Port Isaac isn't far and is very pretty, my mum was happy to visit the streets Doc Martin walks!! Padstow is also very close and is a lovely little place home to lots of Rick Steins places, including a cake shop with delicious treats! The owners met us when we arrived and came and saw us out, they have stocked the book shelf with lots of books and leaflets so you can decided what to do, a lovely touch. This was a lovely break for us to enjoy family time and we will definitely visit again!"

"Our family has two adults and three children and we had plenty of room for all of us. This cottage had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay and in fact there were even a few extras we did not expect such as body boards and wet suits. We also had some food and drink waiting for us when we arrived. Next time we wont need to pack so much as there was a washing machine and tumble dryer as well. Rachel the owner of the property was very nice and helpful and gave us clear advice on the cottage and local area.I thought the location of the property was excellent and is about 9 miles from the beaches at Bude, 27 miles from Tintagel, 2 miles from the nearest shops, 47 miles from Polperro. The surf at Bude beach was excellent and we finished each day with the body boards on the beach. We will be booking this cottage again for our next holiday as it really felt like a home from home. Just one minor problem was that the beds and floorboards creak can wake people up but having said that it does add character to the property."

"We had a wonderful week in June, 4 adults and 4 very well behaved dogs. My 1st visit to Cornwall and won't be my last. Marilyn and Owen are a fantastic couple, they gave us a wonderful welcome. Cornish cream tea waiting in the lounge for us to enjoy once unpacked. Once you've been shown around the property your left to settle in. They live above so are on hand for anything. The property is amazing I would love to live there, a real home from home and Marilyn has thought of everything. Rooms are all spacious with plenty of storage. There is an amazing corner bath, just ideal for a good soak really relaxing. The garden is fabulous with patio area and gas BBQ and amazing scenic views. After 1 hour here all your troubles melt away. The area is rural and great for that special get away from it all holiday. Information pack with lots of places to see and visit with a map. Marilyn and Owen you made our stay fabulous and we will be back. Definitely a 5 star property."
