"Cornwall itself is a fantastic place to visit and one could spend a good few weeks exploring the county. Hayle is an ideal central location as a base to tour Cornwall.Trelawn, for the price, is not really up to standard. There were a number of maintenance issues which would have been so easy to address but had not been. I can't imagine that we were the first group to point out that the conservatory leaks when it rains. The furniture is old and rickety, the kitchen had a broken cupboard door, the upstairs family bathroom window is off balance and therefore would not stay open. Unfortunately the house, although charging higher rate, had been kitted out on the cheap.Although tired and in need of some TCL the beds were comfortable, the downstairs power shower was good and the kitchen was well equipped"

"Stated that we wouldn’t stay here again -the distance from our home was a problem which obviously is our problem not yours. The main reason was that I’d booked a house with Superfast Broadband as I knew my son needed to work while his family were with us. The internet was not good at all, it kept stopping and this meant in the end that my son and family had to leave on the Tuesday evening, which upset the grandchildren and us.The house was nice and clean with good beds, bedding, towels etc and plenty of crockery and kitchen equipment but the sofas in the lounge were not comfortable, very short in depth and length and not enough seating for 8 of us in the evening when we were all together."

"It does what it says on the tin.... Atlantic View! What a view- glimpsed Scilly too! Attention to detail in house and garden appreciated. Loads of room for our four generation family stay. We all agreed comfy beds, relaxing atmosphere, the young ones enjoyed the garden play area! House was well equipped. Would recommend the owner makes the step from kitchen to utility more visible as we all tripped on it- my elderly mother fell right over it leaving a nasty bruise. Would have loved to have used the aga properly but there was no technical info available. Also further details on where to take recycling would have helped. This holiday let was at the top end of our budget."

"Beautiful place to stay, a tad dated, could do with a little tlc here and there. The two double mattresses need changing as are worn out, and the extra added on charge for the electric is a bit of a Micky take. Overall after I fixed the drawers in most of our units, tightened the taps, swapped the shower heads over so we had one good shower and tightened the oven handle which fell off the first time we used it. It was a great little find and a great week, also a beautiful and incredibly well kept estate. Loved it and hope the owners take note of the little things I have outlined."

"Quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the farmhouse and lack of equipment for 9 guests, particularly mugs/cups. Found a chewed up bone under one of the sofas along with other detritus. One of the bedroom doors didn’t close as bed was too long. Squeaky doors and floorboards woke up other family members. Plaster peeling off the walls and an exposed wire in one of the bedrooms. Garden not particularly dog friendly as not fully fenced or gated. I’ve stayed in much nicer places that were a lot less expensive."
