What our customers are saying about our Big Cottages In The Brecon Beacons To Rent.
Staffordshire, United Kingdom - verified booking
"Delightful place - lovely people. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very warm and friendly welcome by the owners and their manager who gave us complete privacy but were only a phone call and a five minute drive away should we need anything. The accommodation is of excellent quality - our party of fifteen plus two toddlers occupied the four bedroomed farmhouse, the two bedroomed cottage and the four bedroomed barn conversion - and were able to dine together in comfort. The two hot tubs were very popular. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful and the delightful River Crai runs through the owners' land. Weather was mixed so on fine days we were able to take advantage of this being in the centre of outstanding walking country but when the Brecon Beacons rain persisted we had plenty of room to enjoy being together indoors and in the big play barn with its table tennis table. This was our 16th consecutive annual family get-together and we consider this accommodation to be the best yet."

"3 of the dining chairs that were present, were broken! Poor kitchen equipment - eg a very small 2 x slice toaster, for 8 adults! Only one medium sized kettle. The light bulb above the cooker had blown, making life difficult. Generally, the lighting in the place needs attention - probably one third of the light bulbs had blown/didn't work.. Woefully inadequately sized fridge, and it had broken/missing shelves inside it. We had to ask for a quilt to be supplied for one of the beds, and also 3 extra towels were required. An accumulation of dust under the beds, etc. The venetian blinds throughout the house looked like they had not been cleaned in years. There was no bath mat in the en suite bathroom. Garden poorly maintained, the garden furniture well past their useful working life, and the decking around the back was rotting in places. This was advertised as a 'luxury cottage', and it probably was 10 years ago. It is no longer."

"We returned today after a week at a fantastic house in a fantastic location! Old Crofftau was everything I hoped it would be. We had a mixture of friends and family at the house to celebrate a significant birthday of mine! The owners were so wonderful, they were helpful & really went the extra mile to ensure everything worked for us with our plans, even putting up bunting in the garden when they knew all my Welsh family were coming for a BBQ! They were very friendly but not at all invasive. The house is just great, beds very comfortable, lovely linen & towels. Having hand soap & cream available in each bathroom was a nice touch as was the bottle of wine & cake left for us. Everyone commented on how fabulous the location and house was. The gardens were beautiful too. I really can't fault anything about the property or owners. Thank you so much for all your help whilst booking and afterwards. We would love to visit the property again."

"We had a fabulous time at The Meeting Place in Llangynidr – the accommodation was wonderful and the Welsh Cakes that greeted our arrival were very welcome, especially by the children. The Cottage was wonderful and met our every need. It felt very Christmassy with the Christmas tree in the lounge and the decorations around the property etc. An added bonus was that the property is within 100 metres of the Red Lion pub which we visited on a couple of occasions and were very impressed with the service & the food – every village needs a local like the Red Lion! The games room (pool, darts) etc. was ideal for the children. All in all we had a fabulous time and there is no reason whatsoever why we won't be returning to The Meeting Place, hopefully for longer than 4 days next time! "

"We (2 families) had a fantastic week in the cottage, despite the weather! But actually with all the rain and wind that there was, we were never once worried that the cottage would flood, so that put us at ease! We had plenty of space for 7 of us, +1 dog. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. The location was perfect, we visited the church on Christmas Eve for the crib service, and the pub on a couple of occasions. Within easy reach of Brecon for our Christmas food shop and all enjoyed a lovely walk on the only fine day of the week, Boxing Day! Directions to the property were great, and the caretaker was extremely helpful when I had a few questions the week before arriving. And I didn't have any problems with the booking process."
