"Stuart was very accommodating, offering to keep an eye on the dogs if we wanted to leave them for a few hours and also asked us to call or see him if we wanted to know anything about where to go etc. We weren't the quietest group; celebrating a 30th birthday and an engagement all in one, but I never once felt that this affected Stuart and Jan who said hi every time we saw them. I thought we would make more use of the games room which is brilliant and had darts, books a ping pong table and also stuff for the kids (nit that we had any with us, but plastic kitchen play, skittles and probably more) but the house was so well suited for a social group, even though there were 12 of us, that we never did. I planned a skydive when I went as there is an airfield in dunkeswell 5 miles away so I would advise anybody to check that out! The only thing I think I would suggest is perhaps a sign for S96016 at the guests entrance as I initially drove past maddocks farm as I was looking for S96016 and then drove into maddocks farm having missed it, but S96016 is immediately before maddocks farm. extremely minor point! I would love to book this place again!"

"Could not fault the property at all. Had everything you needed for a family holiday. The log burner was just the best way to spend family time together and playing games, we all just sat around it. We would for sure recommend this cottage to anyone that is looking for something bigger that would accommodate two families, plenty of space of you require some quiet time.High chair was broken and flimsy and we had to wash cover before we could use it. **Owner response**. "This is a superb Cottage fully equipped with everything you need. It has set high standards for any other place we stay in the future. The Cottage itself has a fantastic layout with a conservatory dining area so with us having young children we didn't keep them awake at night by gathering in here. The gardens are beautiful with spectacular views. There is a super BBQ, garden toys & a washing line. We also made use of the washer/dryer. Laundering products were also provided along with complimentary bathroom items. The whole place was immaculately clean throughout."

"We really enjoyed our stay at S92594. The owner was very welcoming and made arrival/departure really simple. The barn is lovely, with all the facilities we needed, including one of the best stocked kitchens I've used on holiday.The location is great if you don't mind a bit of road noise, as it's so quick to get back on the main road to go anywhere. The local town has a great park for the children, and a small shop which had everything we needed. The canal is very close with some great local pubs (with more play facilities for the children - perfect)."

"A stunning location made so much nicer by the personal touches. Totally a home from home. Other things I's like to add to anyone who has a dog with them, despite this property being next to the A396 which although is not busy, cars do drive at 50 along it, this is not a concern regarding your dog as the property is fenced off completely and also sits about twenty feet lower than the road and has a steep tree lined bank and fencing between the property and the road, totally safe to leave your dog off lead to enjoy nature. A perfect perfect setting."
