"Close location to shops although only supermarket is a Coop 'express'. No outside seating area to the house. Parking is difficult although the issue of parking was mentioned in the booking. Arrived late Fri night and over weekend found the hot water to sink not working, shower head poor, shower leaked on floor, battery dead in smoke alarm. Phoned agent Monday morning and all fixed by Monday evening. Wednesday night lost lights in toilet then all lights. Electrician explained main switch on distribution board u/s and will need new board. We managed to get lights back then had issues with TV on Thursday just as England were playing. Issues marred holiday as we were working with agent and did not make for relaxing holiday. Home is very nice and would recommend if not for issues we had. They have a dishwasher for a party of possibly 3 people. We were a party of 2 and did not use it. May have made more sense to have a washing m/c but then this is just choice. Area is nice but almost opposite pub therefore lots of noise late into night, okay if this does not bother you. Area great for lots of walking and historic building, which we did a lot of both. Recommend a day at Cragside, brilliant grounds and house - National Trust."

"Beautiful, spacious family home. Perfect as a base for us to re visit all our favourite Northumberland sights and fabulous beaches. There is a fabulous beach just a short drive away, where we walked the dogs almost ever day. The Kitchen is so well equipped, if you felt like cooking a gourmet dinner you would find every utensil you needed. Even a Coffee maker to program for your morning Coffee! our two Border Terriers were secure in the back Garden, which has a large table and chairs for Alfreso dining. We were there in an extremely hot week, but the house was lovely and cool, and the big comfy beds very welcoming. The two living rooms were a bonus, as our teenagers could watch what they wanted on the evenings we just wanted to relax. We sat in the Garden, chilled Prosecco in hand, watching the sheep, Horses, and the stars as it got dark. A very relaxing holiday was had by all."

"Very clean and comfortable apartment with a very well stocked kitchen. The furniture was comfy and well laid out and the kitchen had more crockery and utensils than larger places we've stayed at, including a full sized fridge freezer and easy to use oven. The location is perfect for dogs, a minute from the beautiful beach and promenade and the apartment has a lovely enclosed courtyard. There's not much in Spittal itself but there is a great little shop, a couple of pubs and cafe and amusements on the promenade. It's the perfect base for exploring the Northumberland coast and Scottish Borders. Berwick is about a 20/30 minute walk depending on speed. Jean is a fantastic host and left a lovely welcome basket of biscuits, honey, jam, wine and milk. We had an amazing 2 weeks and will definitely return. I would highly recommend Aidens and couldn't fault anything."

"Parking was an issue, had to walk a fair way to get to car park at the back of the row of cottages. Steps up to flat should have some sort of lighting outside and the gutter above the entrance leaked. The shower took a long time to drain so you had to watch the water level inside the shallow tray to make sure it didn't overflow. The areas around the door handles could do with a bit of a clean. I t would also be beneficial to have a bucket and some cleaning liquid in case of any spillages etc that may occur. The kitchen floor was sticky, I think this maybe down to the varnished surfaceProvision of a hand towel to use in kitchen and a spare bin liner. Also a note to say where to put your waste and in what colour bins for general/recycled waste. We loved Beadnell and will visit there again."

"We were initially pleased with the parking bay however inside was less impressive particularly the persistent smell of gas in the cooking area, more strong first thing in the morning. On the top floor the room was spacious and comfortable but spoiled by the condensation inside the large velux style windows the frames of which were severely corroded and had regularly leaked leaving many unsightly rust stains both below and around the frames. The cleanliness of the toilets left much to be desired and the fact that several table lamps had either failed bulbs or even no bulb at all was disappointing when simple care could have vastly improved the residential experience in a well positioned apartment with super beach views and great access to the beach."
