"House was fairly clean, a few cobwebs high up and under / down the side of some furniture was dirty but no big issue. I think a dog had stayed fairly recently and there was hairs on the throw on the sofa. House was warm, only used heating for a little in morning, it works really well. Showers were good but could be a bit temperamental. All towels were provided, looked pretty new. Bed mattresses were quite soft, I prefer firm but still got a good nights sleep. The mattresses on the singles bed were very poor, like sleeping on a rack! Accessing the house with all your luggsge at the start is a pain. There are about 25 steps up a narrow winding passage way. It was stated when we booked. The shortest route from roadside to the house is partially blocked by beer barrels from the pub and it looks pretty grubby. There are other, slightly further routes with about the same steps but 20-30yds further walk. Whatever you do, don't use the gated "private" easier and shorter access as it only angers the resident that blocks the gate so even he can't used it! (All very childish) The parking available is approx 100yds away. It's not secured but the area isn't rough, so no issue there. This house is mainly about the location . Cracking view of the bay and harbour. Food at the last inn is spot on, are in there 3-4 time during the week"

"This is an outstanding property, quite the best we've stayed in (and we've stayed in quite a few) and it exceeded all our expectations. The access road needs care, but it didn't detract from the property at all and it's the price to be paid for such wonderful views! The house was so welcoming and had everything we could have wanted in terms of amenities and comfort, with the added bonus of patio and garden space and views to die for. The conservatory was a really nice place and we sat in there most evenings until the sun went down, watching the resident rabbits (including a cute black one) and pheasants and listening to the many songbirds. It was so nice to wake up in that stunning en-suite bedroom, with the ever-changing views from the balcony and a highlight for us both was being able to lay in bed and look up at the stars - magic! We spent an exhilarating few hours on the train up to the summit of Snowdon, visited Powis Castle with its amazing gardens, wandered around the wonderfully quirky Portmeirion in the sun and fulfilled a 20 year ambition of mine to see the Rex Whistler mural at Plas Newydd on Anglesey! All in all it was a great holiday, but the icing on the cake was definitely the house."

"A lovely character cottage in a wonderful location, but let down by lack of attention to detail by the owners. For example:_the shower on the upper floor did not work properly: it either did not work or started spurting water all over the bathroom after the shower on the lower floor was turned onthe shower outlet was blocked and did not drain properlythe coffee machine leaked water and finally stopped working altogethermany lamps in the house had dud lightbulbssome dodgy electrical wiring hanging off the wall (esp in the airing cupboard)not enough glassware and crockery for 7 or 8 occupantsno instructions on what to do with rubbish and re-cyclingcd player did not work"

"S22162 is very apt name wonderful view. Its a great house well set out and just right for a large family. Our only gripes are the beds are a bit lumpy and very creaky but having had so much sea air sleep came easily. The timer on the heating did not work so if you forgot to turn it off at night it woke you up as the house got too hot. Everyone in the town was very friendly and the beach is awesome. We did not eat out but the menu in the Last Inn looked very nice but we did not have the time to go in the end. So many great walks in the area the dogs loved it. Would definitely stay again. "

"This property was not to the normal standard we have come to expect. It needs serious refurbishment and some aspect surely do not comply with health and safety regulations. No working smoke alarm on any level and broken floorboard At top,of top stairs. The shower didn't work and when mentioned on the first day a promise was made to fix it but nothing happened. The sofa were dirty and smelled terrible. The bedroom doors had holes where lock must have been and they were blanked off using toilet paper. Not good enough unless you want a place that's falling down around you."
