"We stayed here last year and were delighted that it was available for the first week of our local school holidays. Our party comprised 2 grandparents, 2 parents, a boy of 7 and 2¾ year old twin boys.We were welcomed by a large chocolate cake, tin full of jam tarts, bottle of red wine and a 2½ dozen tray of eggs. It was also immaculately clean.Facilities excellent as per last year: lots of crockery and cutlery meant no need to dish-wash between meals. The games room was again a bonus, not just for the pool table & darts, but for storage of bikes, double-pushchair etc. Garden area is good though we did have one incident of the 7 year old treading in some dog poo which had appeared while we were out.As last year we had to use the recycle bins to block off the "hole" in the wall of the covered seating area, to prevent the twins from escaping into the car park and hence to the road. We did also have one occasion of a black spaniel dog coming into the garden by this route - possibly the poo culprit! One of the twins also learnt how to open the side gate, so we had to insert a small stick through the padlock hole in the latch to stop him escaping. Perhaps it would be advisable to make the garden more escape-proof for little ones."

"We had a lovely stay in the cottage during the February half term with family. When we arrived it was lovely and warm downstairs but very cold upstairs. Spent the first night with lots of blankets on the beds to keep us warm but after a couple of days the heat travelled round the cottage well and kept us lovely and warm. Downstairs fire was great but not really needed as the underfloor heating worked so well!We found the cottage to be equipped with everything you could possibly want. Bedrooms a lovely size. Everything spotlessly clean. The cake, wine, eggs, milk and homemade jam tarts on arrival were a lovely touch!Games available to play (although we never got a chance to use them!) and although quite chilly we did use the games room a couple of nights to play a family game of pool!Good location, lovely surroundings. We did find we couldn’t use the wardrobe in our room as it seemed to be locked and we couldn’t find a key for it! However, with enough other rooms with storage space it didn’t cause too much of an issue. Found the beds very comfy! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay :) thank you."

"A very comfortable and enjoyable stay made even better by the weather. The owner had provided almost everything that we could have wanted. The nearby shop carries the basics and, like the pub, is just around the corner. The knitted / crocheted items that pepper the village are a charming feature. The beach is a stoney one, however, should you walk around to the left (facing the sea) there is a lagoon that has been created which is sandy and not too deep at low tide - good for younger children. Fairbourne, just up the coast a little, provides more in the way of services with a couple of restaurants and shops. It has a large sandy beach and pedestrian / rail access to Barmouth. The nearest larger supermarket is in Tywyn should you require more diverse provisions.Overall, a most enjoyable break, just mind your head on the doorways!"

"The cottage was very well appointed, with everything supplied, very clean and a lovely home from home. The welcome pack on arrival was also much appreciated with practical items such as milk and tea but also treats like a bottle of wine and welshcakes. The parking space was a bonus as parking is at a premium in Barmouth, and so great to be able to walk up the Rock from the back doorstep as well as walk down into the town/harbour and beach.I particularly loved the little front garden where you could sit above the town and watch the sun go down over the sea.We loved our week in this beautiful little cottage!"

"S87596 is a fantastic farmhouse with loads of room located far enough away from the hub-bub of Barmouth to be peaceful yet close enough to be able to walk or cycle into the town. The local beach is awesome and much quieter than the main strip at Barmouth. We enjoyed cycling the Mawdoch trail to Dolgellau, cakes at TH Roberts in Dolgellau (don't miss it), whitewater rafting and canyoning at Bala and of course climbing Cader Idris (but strongly recommend the Pony path rather than the Minfford path). Do try Y Meirrionydd in Dolgellau and Bank in Barmouth for dinner. Llewela was a lovely hostess. "
