"The location of S113498 is lovely unfortunately it was all downhill from there.Musty smell on entering cottage.Dirty and stained flooring and filthy rug.No comfortable seating. All kitchen surfaces were tacky.Crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and chopping boards were all dirty and some had food residue.Glass table mats and coasters were all dirty.Toaster tray was overflowing with crumbs.Cooker was dirty and stained, oven handle covered in grease.Kitchen floor was made up of unsealed bricks and was dirty and stained.Windows and frames dirty inside and out with paint peeling on windows and doors.Television is not 22” but 19” VSS and as such is small for the room. The multi fuel burner was supposed to come with initial fuel, however, this had already been used to lay a fire in the wrong part of the stove and looked to have been set alight and hastily extinguished.Welcome pack consisted of a packet of biscuits and a bottle of wine?I have only given a rating of 1 because is not possible to give zero, this was a very disappointing experience."

"Had a really lovely holiday. The cottage worked really well for us. Only problem with William Crump was that they didn't know what light bulb to fit main light in one of the bedrooms with , so did n't have a main light for the week.We also booked Briar cottage and the cleanliness was not too good. Would rate it as a five for cleanliness. Also the beds were a bit on the narrow side and could feel metal poles under two of the beds.Overall the two cottages worked excellently for us and had a wonderful holiday. Very good for the dogs. Nice o have the enclosed space around the cottages. William Crump was good for my mum's wheelchair, which was a great relief.. My nephews and niece loved the swimming pool and awas a great asset"

"My parents and I enjoyed our little break. The cottage is well equipped with comfortable seating and beds. The decor was lovely with white washed floor boards and blue painted doors. There was a couple little extras that would have been nice, if the kitchen had been supplied with Condiments and even a throw/blanket for the cooler months provided in the lounge. The indoor pool was great, warm and we had it all to ourselves. The only real downside was that electricity was included with our booking before the end of October but it ran out on day 2 and we needed to top up the meter, not a problem if we’d been made aware of this rather than going into pitch black at 10pm."

"This cottage is really lovely. The rooms are spacious, full of light and beautifully and comfortably furnished and decorated. It has French doors onto a patio which receives the sun all day and into early evening. Inside it had everything we needed and lots of little luxuries on top. The owner was on hand to help with any query but our privacy was complete. From it we visited many lovely places of completely different character from traditional seaside towns, to old country villages, wildlife reserves and the Abbey Gardens and churches of Bury St Edmunds. We are not big on dining out or visiting pubs so cannot comment on that aspect."

"Our family had a wonderful stay at S18055. My husband and I enjoyed the spacious master bedroom with private bath, our girls each had their own room and bathroom and their friends shared the fourth bedroom. The location on the river was spectacular as were the views. The house stayed cool in the summer heat, and we watched the World Cup on their large screen TV when the local pub was too crowded. The kitchen was updated and nicely furnished with cookware, utensils and dishes. The only signs of the house history were it’s slightly uneven floors that added to its charms. We would love to return with family and more friends for a longer stay!"
