"The positives:The apartment itself is very nice. The furnishings and appointments are all good quality and very tastefully done. The view over the harbour and the channel is superb. The caretaker (Tye) was punctual and very helpful. When I texted him to ask where the frypan was (there wasn’t one) he bought a new one and delivered it before the end of the day. The inclusion of a pair of binoculars for viewing the channel etc. was appreciated. There are a lot of board games, toys and books for entertainment which my children enjoyed. My youngest son LOVED the shower. The apartment is quite spacious and light and was generally very pleasant to be in.However, some negative aspects really impacted on our stay. The negatives:The situation with rubbish removal really tarnishes what would otherwise be a nice experience. The are no wheelie bins (anywhere in Ramsgate I suspect) so the many apartments in the block have to use a bag system for rubbish disposal. That is, you take the rubbish from your unit down to the front door where 2 large rubbish bags are kept and you are supposed to put your bag in the large bags. But these bags are often already full so you are forced to place your rubbish on or near them. Which then means the garbage removal service will not take the rubbish away as it is not in the large bags. The end results is that the entrance way was quite disgusting as it piled up with rotting garbage. This might be OK for the residents of Ramsgate who might be used to those arrangements, but as a visitor, I found it repulsive and unacceptable. The caretaker had warned us about it when we arrived and it is not the owners fault as they are at the mercy of the local council, but it is a real blight on the accommodation.Wellington Crescent itself is quite high up from the seafront/beach. There is a lift across and down the road (approx. 100m) to take pedestrians to the seafront but it only works on weekends (no good for us then) so the hike down and up for the beach via the adjacent stairs was a bit annoying. We felt Ramsgate itself was quite run down and shabby. I suspect it was once very nice and it obviously has enormous potential as a holiday destination but it is really looking quite tired. There was not a lot of cooking equipment. By this stage of our holiday we were a bit sick of cooking so mostly eat out, but this could be an issue for people intending to cook every day.Lastly, the parking situation left a lot to be desired. The only parking is on street parking in the surround neighbourhood. Not exactly "Parking Available" as I would have expected it (ie. a dedicated parking spot). You might be lucky enough to grab a parking spot out front of the unit, but it is quite a busy road so more than likely you will have to park some distance away. I deliberately booked accommodation with the aim of avoiding this situation but feel I was misled.Overall – quite a good unit and location but some real issues that impact on overall quality and should probably be reflected in the price."

"We had a wonderful stay in Nash Cottage with our two sobs ( aged 6 and 14 years). It was a bit fiddly to find, but that was more because the Sat Nav took us in via the town centre streets and not the back roads as I had expected. However the house couldn't be more perfectly placed. It took us only a minute to hit the high street and the beach only a minute or two more. Everything we needed was such a short walk away and yet we could sit in the garden and hardly hear any noise ( other than the seagulls!). The house on arrival was spotless. We have stayed in a different holiday house every year for the last thirteen years and this one was one of the cleanest we have stayed in. And it was so comfortable. We all felt at home straight away. The welcome package was much appreciated, especially the chocolate cake! Everything else we needed was found after a search of the cupboards. The extra seating area in the garage was a nice surprise. My only criticism, and it's a small one, is the glass doors on the bedroom doors. It made privacy in issue, particularly with our teenage son, and also let two much light into the boys room, which disturbed our youngest son. We had to put our car blanket over the door which then meant the door couldn't be closed properly, which then meant the sounds from the living room disturbed him at bedtime. Also the downstairs toilet is actually outside but was still very clean and the weather was mostly kind to us so not a problem.Again, small issues. It certainly wouldn't stop us from staying at Nash Cottage again, or from recommending it most highly."

"Relaxed English seaside break, visited interesting places, took long walks and photos. The double glass doors open onto an uninterrupted view of the sea. We had breakfast each morning outside on the decking. The bay - rock pools, pleasant walk by the sea and "wow look at those cliffs" type - is very close. Having a key to the steps through the cliff was a novelty. Apparently the writer of 'The 39 Steps' used to live nearby. * en suite shower room with a shower that I could actually get to work properly; plenty of clean towels * welcome pack - bread, milk, butter, juice * kitchen - including fridge, oven, toaster, microwave and kettle * good Wi-Fi - we didn't play games or stream films, but for Google searches and email it was very reliable * huge TV with Sky package and dvd player with large dvd collection * effective hair dryer * good quality steam iron and ironing board * air cooling unit * food shops, towns and beaches a short car drive away * no problem accessing the private estate * easy parking for one car * our hosts were friendly and helpful but gave us our space Can't fault the accommodation. Parking in local towns is expensive and the machines don't always take notes or cards. There is some road parking and our host had some suggestions locally. In Broadstairs you can pay for the car park using your mobile phone and card. It is also probably worth checking out routes that avoid Broadstairs town centre if you don't need to go there."

"Flat was clean and tidy and Ty the caretaker was extremely helpful and pleasant on arrival. The views from the apartment are fantastic and teh apartment is clean warm and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to navigate. We did find Ramsgate itself a little disappointing but this is no reflection on the flat itself and the view. The surrounding areas are however fantastic and we had several good days out in Canterbury, Howletts Zoe and Whitstable. We did find some very out of date food tins and tea bags in the cupboards, two years in some cases, which we disposed of. It is also worth noting that there is no iron or ironing board at the premises, difficult with little ones and suitcase squashed clothes, and the bathroom could do with a hook or two but the accommodation is otherwise perfect. We did have a skip outside for three days and had to contend with early removals and replacement of the noisy skip and pavement works seem to be taking place all along the road which made having the doors open tricky at times. This was a shame but down to timing and nothing anyone could have done about this.Dont want to give negative impression because this was a lovely holiday and the accommodation was very pleasant but when asking to give review feel appropriate to be honest."

"Very clean. I was impressed with the little details in terms of equipment in the kitchen, like a roll of kitchen towel. And being welcomed with cookies and milk in the fridge for the obligatory cup-of-tea on arrival is a very nice touch. Comfort-wise, it's near perfect: the beds are good quality, the central heating works well and the shower has good pressure - just make sure nobody else is using water in the rest of the house whilst you're under the shower. Obviously you hear the neighbours and whoever you're travelling with moving inside the house, that's to be expected from a terraced house. I've only put an 8 for the location because it isn't very near the beach but you'd work this out by looking at a map.Getting the keys was straightforward and efficient. I would definitely consider booking this house again if I was to visit the area again."
