"We stayed here recently for 6 nights; there were 26 of us in our group (17 adults, 8 children (3y - 8y) and 1 baby. We booked the house (and the two separate villas) only one week before our holiday, having been let down by another chateau owner at the last minute. The house is beautiful, the grounds excellent and everybody had a lot of fun in the swimming pool. We had a fantastic time here and would definitely recommend it. There is a vey good dining area in the house, but we preferred to eat outside every day - there is lots of space and more than enough tables for kids and adults to eat at (there is a good canopied area too). Similar to other comments, it took us a while to sort out the room allocations (which involved moving beds about), but that was easily done. It was really hot during the week that we stayed and the second floor was quite warm, but the families staying up there bought a couple of fans and that helped. The second floor is perfect for children aged 5 upwards - there is also a fantastic dressing up box on this floor, with loads of different outfits, which all of the kids loved trying on (although sometimes a bit too early and noisly!). One night, we used the local caterers recommended by Regis (the owner) - cost 22 euros per person and the food that they delivered was superb (and lots of it); this option is highly recommended if you want to have a formal dinner one night. Only negative observations are as follows:- the kitchen was a bit dirty when we arrived, so we spent a bit of time cleaning everything. Not a big deal though. We booked the entire house at short notice. Unfortunately, it would appear that other guests had also booked to stay at the house on different nights during the week (most bookings through booking.com), so we frequently had people turning up saying that they had booked a room at the house etc. We then had to explain that we had a booking for the entire house, and they invariably had to contact Regis or Didier (Regis's manager) to arrange alternative accommodation at another place that Regis owned nearby. This happened on 8 or 9 occasions and whilst everyone that turned up (and subsequently left) was pleasant and understanding about it, it wasnt ideal. On the Thursday and Friday of our stay, some contractors turned up to get things ready for a wedding reception that was taking in the adjacent building on the saturday that we were leaving. This didnt cause us a real problem, except that they would occasionally come round the back of our house into the garden to check where they could put stuff (they tried to take a couple of tables on one occasion). They also tested the wedding sound system on the Friday night, and this was too loud and went on too long (from 6.30pm til after 8pm), which was annoying when we were trying to settle the kids and put our baby daughter to bed. Finally, the location is excellent, both for Magny Cours, Pouilly (great wine tasting) and lots of other surrounding villages and towns that are worth exploring. Overall, the negative comments didnt detract from a truly memorable holiday (the rating would have been excellent were it not for the above comments). Regis is a charming man and was always available to help us with questions or resolve any problems (we couldnt get wi-fi to work though). If Regis couldnt help, then Didier was also equally helpful (although he only spoke french)."

"The house is beautiful and (in principle) very quiet, along a small, little used road, and with the closest neighbors hundreds of meters away. You can not say that it is very nicely decorated, but it is very functional, with for example the best-equipped kitchen we have ever found in a holiday home. The house and the garden are both very large. We only stayed two, but it is certainly suitable for 4 adults and accompanying children. I would not recommend a stay with more than 2 couples, because only 2 of the 4 available bedrooms offer the necessary privacy because they do not also act as a passage to another room. When we stayed there was just during the first half of the week just a adjacent forest cut and even though it is quite impressive to see all the machines used on a steep slope to see their arts, nevertheless this generated for 3 days between 9 am and 7 pm, of course, a serious breach of tranquility and privacy. (And besides, we were in the works without Wi-Fi, because the cable had been pulled to pieces.) Anyway, those who do not want to sleep late in the morning and spend the day during the day are already suffering very little from it. That specific forest will not be cut down for the next half century, but the house is surrounded by trees and forest on all sides, and the area is alive for a large part of forestry ... If you look at this house, you will know it all, but once again the Vosges are wonderful to walk and cycle (if altitude does not spoil the fun)) The house is a beautifully situated base for both types of activities both La petite Finlande and La Planche des Belles Filles like the Balloon de Servance and the Ballon d "Alasace bv are nearby. And to cycle up the Col des Chevrières (also at 914m altitude, and pretty steep)) you just step on your bike in front of your door. As far as those bikes are concerned h"

"We booked the Chateau and Annexe for one week in late September for a big holiday with family and friends. Everyone made a point of telling us what an incredible venue and area we had chosen - I'll list out a few of the many great things about Chateau-des-Siecles: - The owner/staff who looked after us incredibly well - they were responsive, made themselves available and checked up most days (without being intrusive) and they went out of their way to make our stay as stress-free as possible (e.g. helping move furniture / changing linen for new guests). - The accommodation - very tastefully decorated but without being stuffy (i.e. it felt like a place to be lived in and enjoyed), luxurious (great mattresses, linen, bathrooms, kitchens etc) and spacious with ample facilities for numerous groups to do their own thing, or indeed for everyone to get together. - The setting / location - the views from the Chateau and it's grounds have to be seen to be believed, everywhere you walk you spot another stunning aspect. The local area offers plenty of activities such as canoeing, cycling, walking or visiting vineyards - we could easily have spent a month exploring. - The little things - there were numerous touches which we were not expecting from a self-catering rental but which helped make our stay extra-special: pool towels washed and replaced each day, someone popping in in the early morning to clean and tidy communal areas and basic food provisions provided (jam, butter, milk etc) on the first day. - Value for money - given the astonishing setting and luxurious accommodation, Chateau-des-Siecles offers superb value for money. Highly recommended - so much so we are hoping to find another excuse to come back!"

"What a perfect quaint place to calm down and to have a unique family reunion experience! So far, we came twice. In the winter 2017, we enjoyed the serenity and the heavenly peace of the place that much, that we decided to come back in early summer 2018 with an even intergenerational part of the family! In the cold season we mostly enjoyed the lovely atmosphere of the house with it's thoughtful renovated sitting rooms which invite you have a rest in front of a old fire place, to read a book in one of those beautiful furnished lounges or to have extended meals with long intensive family discussions at the old oak table in the dining room. The large kitchen was a great communal space, perfectly equipped with excellent cooking facilities. Once or twice a day we went for walks in the lovely surroundings, enjoyed a trip to Autun or Dijon or became sportive with biking or playing tennis. In summer we mostly spent relaxing days outside with extended walks and young and old met around the beautiful swimming pool, a very pretty place to enjoy the views! The kids particularly enjoyed the trampoline in the barn and us parents, we were happy to see them so excited in this shadowy, hidden place. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and as beautiful as the rest of the house with stunning views from the first floor. Leaving the place the children talked of fairytale holidays and we were all convinced that we took home some everlasting memories of this beautiful place. We would like to thank Wim and Birthe for putting so much heart in renovating the property into such a comfortable and personal family manor. We felt transported back in time and we will definitely come back!"

"We arrived on Saturday to, call the owner indicated what time we were around so he could warn the local lady. Upon arrival we had to wait, luckily the sun was shining and it was not a penalty. After a fast-paced tour of the local lady where French quickly you flew around the ears (probably a dialect because I was not from anything they said), we later came to the conclusion that there was no information folder specified by this lady while who was there and what is also necessary to know, because this villa is large and fully voorzien.De site is located in a very quiet village where there are many hiking and biking trails to get through everything. As already said, the house is fully equipped and very tidy uitziet.Er is catered for in the cottage to all types of entertainment and spelletjes.De nearest supermarket is expensive a local shop in the nearby village. Two villages on a slightly larger, but the real message is wise to drive to Vesoul (about 40min). Refueling nearby supermarket two villages verderop.Een recommendation is to shop in Besançon (around 1 pm) and also there go to the citadel, this is an old fortress from the time of the Sun King, which also has a zoo gevestigd.Ook for geocachers among us there is plenty to find in buurt.Deze location is a good base to take several things but it is more fun when you go around a little further by car. Just keep in mind that the average driving time is one hour to komen.Oftewel in civilization we have a nice holiday had here and I think it is a must to go."
