"This is a lovely well presented property with substantial character and good parking right outside the front door. It is very well equipped and very clean. Its location in Dunmere next to the River Camel and its trail are excellent but with a little road noise from the main A road between Bodmin & Wadebridge a 100m or so away although only really noticeable when the windows are open and did not affect sleeping. Quite spacious although you need to accept that the double beds are effectively against a bedroom wall on one side and the wet room ensuite a little small when compared to the very good bathroom off the other bedroom. Did not have time to use as out everyday of the week, but there are French doors off each downstairs bedroom to a cozy outside private sitting area with table and chairs. Cream tea on arrival demonstrated excellent owners just next door. Would definitely return."

"Would have been nice to have a little milk and coffee as we arrived late and local restaurant/pub was no longer serving, nearest Asda supermarket is about 10miles away. We left some. We also left toilet roll as only half a role in the cottage. Needs a good deep clean, windows dirty, cobwebs and dust and dog hair on furniture in living area. Hanging basket with weeds and entrance poor. View onto farm yard. Some decent garden furniture would be good and implements for cleaning and cooking on the BBQ. Dog poo in the garden from owners dog which they did remove. Wifi mostly didn’t work and no phone signal in the house. Need to drive/bike to access any ameneties, nothing within a few miles."

"I felt the lodge was very pleasing and comfortable. Its location was lovely and suitable for the dog, with plenty of walks in the woods and by the stream. My only concern was the smell in the lodge! When we arrived we had to have the windows open to air and when we d been out for the day we had to air the lodge , once back, to try and remove the odour. Maybe it was a smell in the carpets they either need cleaning or it would be better to have a floor that could be washed with the mat / rug could be moved / cleaned easily."

"Such a friendly host who provided a superb high chair and cot for our baby. Also gave some fantastic local advice for shopping, sightseeing etc for our baby/fog situation which was so kind and spot on!S79263 was a dog friendly venue that did not feel like dogs stayed at all, the whole place was immaculately clean. For us the location was perfect as it enabled us to easily access both north and south coast with ease which was our whole aim. The Camel Trail was a wonderful extra!Lovely home from home for a week, thank you!"

"We have enjoyed our week at S42695. It is a well thought out conversion and finished to a high standard. On arrival it was presented immaculately. The use of the barn for bikes is an added bonus. It is in an excellent location and despite the weather we have managed to cycle the length of the Camel Trail, visit the Eden Project, Lanhydrock, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Bedruthan Steps and sample the local Haywood Farm cider and wine at Camel Valley Vineyard. We have loved our time here. Thanks."
