"Beautiful location and potentially a very nice cottage but so many niggling defects that make you wonder if the owners really understand quality and hospitality, particularly since many of these things have been mentioned by previous reviewers to the barns. The latch on the master bedroom door jammed shut so that anyone inside was trapped. We had to get help to lift the door open from the outside but then nothing was done during our stay to rectify this problem. See the review of September 2017 when clients mentioned exactly the same problem so its been known about for almost a year. Some other examples - none of the uplighting worked; there were no light bulbs in the bedside lamps in the master bedroom; the outside light didn't work; absolutely nowhere to hang clothes in the second bedroom - no hooks or wardrobe and we were down for a wedding so had lots that needed hanging; no hooks for coats anywhere downstairsThere were no bin bags under the sink despite what the (grubby) information said; only three tablemats for a cottage catering for 4 guests; coasters were torn around the edges; only 4 mugs and one cup; no kitchen scissors; iron but no ironing boardNo reference in the information to where on the farm the utility room and the shared freezer were located. In respect to hospitality, the property was simply unlocked for us on arrival, but no information was offered and we saw no one else during our visit. A strangely hands-off approach. Its a real pity as they have the makings of an excellent experience at Netherbridge but this was our poorest cottage experience to date. I think what really got to us is that almost all of the things we have mentioned above have been listed by previous visitors to the Netherbridge barns."

"when we first got in my husband had to go round with the hoover because it was not at all clean cobwebs and dust webs everywhere all in the eves one night he was hovering at 10.30 at night bugs everywhere no salt ,vinegar, coffee etc simple things don't go a miss dust webs round the door frames down the side of the cabinets disgusting my wife and kids didn't wash until we came home my ill mother in law ended up sleeping downstairs a toaster that at the start of the holiday was only half working a shower that leaked at the top and bottom near the switch luckily I didn't get electrcuted slug or snail trails on the inside of the property dog food on the floor in the downstairs cupboard a stain on the floor god knows what it was but when we spoke to the manager her reply was cant you just move the settie over it shocking we felt dirty so we ended up coming home on the wednesday 2 days early and in the 13-14 years of going on holiday never ever have we left holiday early so to sum up worse holiday ever"

"Kettles On a lovely remote bungalow type cottage. Yvonne the owner was a lovely person who dropped us off to pick up the car when we left it at the nearest pub the previous night. Nearest pub was over 4 miles away. Which if you want a quiet holiday would be ideal. However if you would like a livelier holiday the cottage might be a bit remote. The cottage itseself was a spacious two bedroomed cottage with underfloor heating throughout. It was kept very clean. We arrived and there was high teas (scones, jam And cream) waiting for us and a fresh bowl of fruit. Very nice touch. The cottage had everything required for a good relaxing stay. It was situated centrally for you if you wanted to discover the surrounding Cornish area. We had an excellent stay and seen a lot of the sights you would expect to see and the cottage was a good base for this.."

"Would have been nice to have a little milk and coffee as we arrived late and local restaurant/pub was no longer serving, nearest Asda supermarket is about 10miles away. We left some. We also left toilet roll as only half a role in the cottage. Needs a good deep clean, windows dirty, cobwebs and dust and dog hair on furniture in living area. Hanging basket with weeds and entrance poor. View onto farm yard. Some decent garden furniture would be good and implements for cleaning and cooking on the BBQ. Dog poo in the garden from owners dog which they did remove. Wifi mostly didn’t work and no phone signal in the house. Need to drive/bike to access any ameneties, nothing within a few miles."

"Fantastic buildings & quality conversion! However we felt that on-site service was lacking, :-No instructions for equipment (particularly cooking/heating with a Rayburn oven)Quite a few lightbulbs not working especially outside the front door, tricky at night!Teapot leaks, not enough cutlery especially with a dishwasher, no clock, cushions would be a nice touch.Perhaps a visit on the 1st day after arrival to check all OK would help (both sides!) along with some sort of property information, local facilities, contact no's, restaurants & somewhere for guests to leave feedback, hints & tips for future visitors.Nice touch with the tea & biscuits (& Chocolate!)"
