What our customers are saying about our Baby Friendly Cottages In France To Rent.

"This little cottage is a wonderful spot to use as a base for exploring Normandy. We stayed for a week during early June at the height of the DDay celebrations in the region and it was the perfect spot to to strike out each day to visit all those key DDay landmarks. The cottage itself is very comfortable and had it not been for an issue with the hot water on a few of the days we were there, we would have scored it 10. Of course we were out most of the time during the day but when we were “at home” it really was like being at home. Our French hosts couldn’t speak a word of English and we couldn’t speak a word of French but that didn’t stop us learning that Jean-Claude’s father fought in the French Resistance and that he used to be a guide at a local WW2 museum. Google Translate helped !This is a lovely little cottage, perfect for a couple or small family. We were two guys together exploring the history of DDay, and the two bedrooms were perfect for us. The little town of S118668 had everything you could want or it was available in nearby locations. A great spot for a holiday."

"First, the village is called S118668 NOT the gite!We love the area, the countryside, the people but this gite needs updating. First the beds, SO uncomfortable the worst beds we have ever tried to sleep in. Hubby had to sleep in the twin room with the two mattresses on top of each other. Safety issues here, fairly old water heater in kitchen/ diner NO carbon monoxide alarm. No fire blanket no extinguisher. When we booked, the village may have been thriving but now due to France's economic downturn it isn't. Tues market was one trader, Sat a few more. Wonderful bakers, local bar serves food. Two other restaurants one open part time. All within easy walking distance. Yes we would stay in the area again. A little more effort and investment would make this gite better. ( 2 weeks stay )."

"Liked the rural location- the details say that the property is on a working farm: not really- there was a workshop next to the cottage, but no other sign of any farming activity. Property was sort of o.k.; if it was supposed to sleep 6, there was certainly seating for that number, but if you wanted to watch TV, there was only a small 2 seater settee. The bottom bunk upstairs seemed to have a wire tray base which every time you turned over emitted many protesting noises. We opted to do our own cleaning at the end of our stay. We hope that we left the property in a cleaner state than when we arrived- quite a lot of dead flies, insects etc. The whole place seemed to us a bit 'tired', and in need of a bit of redecoration."

"We had a fantastic restful holiday helped by temperatures in the mid twenties and clear blue skies. This rural area of Brittany is beautiful only about 20 minutes to the Emerald coast. The lovely towns of Dinard, Dinan and St Malo are all within 40 minutes easy drive, and the two small towns of Combourg and Dol de Bretagne within 10 minutes. The local village of S117122 has a small shop, bar and bakers. The cottage is a large three storey house set adjacent to a lake, the setting is very peaceful. The house is well equipped with a large kitchen and superb master bedroom with large ensuite and walk in shower. There is ample garden space area to sit and enjoy the surroundings,."

"This is a lovely house, on a quiet gated estate about 10/15 mins walk from St Remy along a small canal. The house was well equipped, very clean and a good layout. The pool was small, but was very warm and inviting. The area is beautiful, with many places to visit locally and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops in St Remy. I think the addition of a barbecue and a book with local information (doctors, hospital, taxi telephone numbers etc) are the only things required to make this house perfect."
