What our customers are saying about our Baby Friendly Cottages In Cambridgeshire To Rent.

"The cottage itself is quite nice but in need of a bit of TLC. The downstairs bathroom door was slightly warped and in need of planing, there was a water stain on the carpet in the downstairs bedroom and the shared outdoor gas bbq was filthy when we arrived. It was a hot weekend when we were there but there were no fans in the property and when you opened the door/windows the property was inundated with flies - a simple fly screen at the door would have helped. The upstairs bathroom smelt damp throughout our stay, despite opening windows to let some air in.Also, shared outdoor space is fine if your neighbours are friendly - ours were not. Their children prevented ours from playing on toys provided by the property, they hogged the pool and caused a confrontation over the booking system which they claimed not to understand. Perhaps if this had been managed by the owner rather than visitors it could have been prevented. It's a nice property, with plenty of space for youngsters to let off steam but it could be an outstanding property in time. The owner is lovely however, and incredibly helpful with her local knowledge."

"The cottage was nice: lots of space, comfy beds, plenty of seats etc. Garden was nice too but it was a shame it wasn't enclosed because we had to follow our toddler around at all times in case she wandered onto the road/into the field (or the enormous hole in it!).There was a play area by the other cottages which is a nice idea but it was in a pretty poor state - our daughter sat on a bench inside the climbing frame and went through it.The pool was good and not over used which was lucky as it's quite little. The main complaints we had were that there was no wifi (or even broadband) in this property. I know that some people don't need to access the real world whilst on holiday but it's really frustrating for those of us who need to. The next is that there is no pub within a mile. or even 3..... we were so looking forward to a nice stroll tot he pub but no chance."

"The house was fantastic! With 3 families, including children aged from 16 to 20, it met all of our different needs. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The bathrooms large and plentiful so no queues! The garden was immense - rounders and cricket were played on the Saturday evening and football on the Sunday. And best of all was the indoor pool and table tennis. Jane couldn’t have been more helpful and advised us on taking the park and ride into Cambridge on the Saturday where we enjoyed a walking tour and punting. Sunday we went into Ely - 10 minute drive away - to see the Cathedral. We will definitely be back as we didn’t have time to fit in the water sports which are literally next to the farm. A wonderful house which made our yearly get together memorable."

"Lovely relaxing cottage. We only needed two bedrooms but super to have a feeling of space. Great big table in the kitchen for family meals and garden enclosed for our dog which is not always the case in cottages that allow dogs. 10 minutes from the house and you can be on a train to Cambridge which is beautiful. There were dog walks near the house but the weather was not great for our week so wellies needed. Children enjoyed the park zip slide too. We did find the lack of a drier an issue, especially with children; we did put clothes over the radiators- handy to have so many. Also with a long estate car, it was difficult to get out and in the gate as cars were always parked along the road directly opposite the gate. It took some negotiating!"

"Although the cottage is very clean and spacious, it is in definite need of upgrade. The shower (wet) room is very old and unappealing and the en suite bathroom upstairs lacks a shower cubicle or even a shower spray over the bath. With six women staying and no working locks on either of the bathroom doors, there were privacy issues. There were some things missing or broken, like the grill in the oven and there was no ceiling light shade in the shower room, which we felt was potentially dangerous in a wet environment. We did leave a note about these issues for the owners. It is a working farm in a rural area, so very quiet and peaceful, but make sure you take a fly spray as not surprisingly with livestock, there were loads."
