"waterhall cottage is perfect as a rural retreat.standard fare for a three star property, with the bonus of a beautiful 3 acre garden to relax in.it has a big comfy bed and en-suite bathroom, good shower over the bath,a large sitting room with a good selection of books and info on places of interest. the kitchen is small but well equipped should you need to cook, though there are good pubs and tea shops within a 5 mile radius.you will need to take some supplies with you as the shops are not on your doorstep, but this is a small price to pay for the tranquillity you get.do your research, because there are many pretty villages and towns about, set in the rolling countryside of south Suffolk.the accommodation is dog friendly, and last but not least by any means, the lady host ,Sylvia,is lovely.we will readily return."

"Our family had a wonderful stay at S18055. My husband and I enjoyed the spacious master bedroom with private bath, our girls each had their own room and bathroom and their friends shared the fourth bedroom. The location on the river was spectacular as were the views. The house stayed cool in the summer heat, and we watched the World Cup on their large screen TV when the local pub was too crowded. The kitchen was updated and nicely furnished with cookware, utensils and dishes. The only signs of the house history were it’s slightly uneven floors that added to its charms. We would love to return with family and more friends for a longer stay!"

"Superb location but disappointing in respect of the accommodation which was a jumble of old discarded furniture and an enormous uncomfortable bed and generally the whole place was less than clean. The large garden area was extremely picturesque and very secure which was appreciated as our dog was allowed to run freely. We use holiday cottages regularly but overall we felt this one was very expensive given the poor level of accommodation - in our experience these days holiday cottages are generally operating at a much better standard than this one."

"We both loved it. Brody our dog adored it. Good old Bess was so tolerant of our adolescent dog. Lovely garden. Sylvia was lovely, very helpful and little touches like vase of gorgeous flowers. Milk and biscuits on arrival. Apples from her garden in the fruit bowl on the table. The cottage has a wonderful collection of maps and information on everything you could want for this beautiful county. So many places to visit in just a short drive away. A really lovely cottage to stay. Would have liked to stay longer."

"Great location, Great Cottage, very comfortable bed. Kitchen is a bit on the small side. The owner Sylvie is such a lovely person. We stayed over the Christmas period and the extras put in by Sylvie were extraordinary, even a small xmas tree! The effort was so appreciated.Didn't see any owls but the Owl nesting box , with a great view from the kitchen, would be so interesting in the spring. Sylvie did say they had 2 chicks last year."
