"But dirt around inside rims of all patio doors/Windows and cobwebs inside skylights clearly not been cleansed for long time and as this is bungalow they are easily accessible. Property needs maintenance, glazing old and condensation in all rooms each morning, one bedroom still has single glazing and looks bad. Sealant in all bathrooms coming away, loo seat loose, main bedroom door won't shut, constantly running tap in cloaks toilet, couldn't use shower as unable to turn dial- did text housekeeper and she said previous guest must have turned it too tight. Clearly not checked before we arrived and I didn't try to force it in case it broke. Lock to back door unable to remove key once locked! Some wall and ceiling paintwork needs attention. I don't dig deep looking for problems all of this was obvious from outset. Location and space property offered was excellent but for the price and rating I expected a much better maintained property."

"The accommodation itself was fine - not at all luxury but non the less fine.Good points:Plenty of space Only a small number of lodgesVery helpful onsite staffPretty decent restaurant on site Nice locationThings we didn't like:The hot tub was useless to us for 2 reasons: the lid was just too heavy to lift and you may as well be in it on a busy street as it is totally overlooked by the other lodges and the campersWi fi was very patchyBut the worst thing and the things which would stop us going back is the fact our lodge had what would have been a beautiful view of the Thames however right in front of us was a patch of grass which they filled with campers. They where very noisy until late at night and whenever we opened the curtains they where "there" virtually in our living room and fully blocking our view. This totally spoiled what could have been a lovely location for us."

"Excellent and cosy place to spend a quiet week and, if you have the urge, somewhere from which you can take off and explore Oxford and the surrounding area. Every piece of equipment worked except the security key holder which would not close, and one portable heater, even though I replaced the fuse in its plug. Combined CD player and radio also a bit of a mystery! A really good feature is the open hearth and the chance to have a fire - logs were supplied but if you want more go to B and Q or Homebase just down the road into Abingdon after the A34 interchange. Best local pub is the Merry Miller at Cothill - good food and drink and log fires. Beware of a very busy road just beyond the lane on which the Cottage stands. Cars are driven at well over the 40 MPH limit supposedly in force. Not easy for pedestrians. Information left for visitors very thorough."

"Excellent in every way. There were 6 of us. We enjoyed the home inside and outside with fantastic weather and a beautiful garden and patio attached to a quaint and cozy/comfy home. We used the kitchen as we would at home, making meals and baking scones and cakes.... Fully equipped kitchen. 6 of us there for 8 days made the washer and dryer a blessing too. It was essential to have a car out in the hamlet of Peasemore but what a delightful area. Village folk could not have been friendlier when we went for walks. Some showed us around the church, telling us the history, others directed us to the farm shop for fresh meats and vegetables... Good location to visit other places (Bath, Oxford, Newbury and more). We had an amazing holiday at The Old Post Office."

"We booked to stay at the house for the end of the fishing season. Accommodation is well appointed with wonderful views and access to a good section of the Thames. There are 4 bedrooms, each of which sleep 2 people and a couple of bathrooms. House has everything you could need for a holiday. Only slight downside was the heating, which took a bit of working out. All in all, one of the better holiday lets we have used on the Thames, close to the village but far enough away to be able to enjoy peace and quiet. Only drawback was the parking, there are spaces for 2 cars only. Nevertheless, we were suitably impressed that we have booked the same house for next March already."
