With views out to the Isle of May and across the North Sea, spend a day soaking up the fresh sea air and enjoying the simple pleasures of a coastal walk. The Isle of May is also reachable by boat during the summer months; offering visitors the chance to see the numerous puffins that make this island their home. Unsurprisingly for a fishing village, the fresh fish is exceptional. Anstruther Fish Bar has won numerous awards and there are few better places for a hearty plate of fish and chips.

What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Anstruther To Rent.

"S75254 is a beautiful, comfortable, superbly equipped house with a spectacular view of the sea, as the name suggests. We had a wonderful break in spite of the unseasonable Arctic weather, and thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Falkland Palace, Kellie Castle and a boat trip to the Isle of May, which we would heartily recommend to any prospective visitor. The welcome pack was generous and very much appreciated, and the standard of household equipment and facilities is absolutely outstanding; everything has been considered and thought through - it is rare to see a standard quite so exceptional. The one thing we missed in our location was a local pub or two; the one pub/hotel had closed a few months before our visit, and this is a big loss to the village.Overall though, an excellent holiday and an exceptional property."

"Very nice property in a beautiful location, with a very relaxing view when sat in the living room/diner/kitchen area. There are some items that could have been cleaner/updated but overall we were pleased with the property, and the location. The downside is the parking situation. Although it states that there is on street parking we weren't prepared for arriving on Friday evening to find NOWHERE to park. After nearly 50 minutes of driving round the nearby streets, we eventually managed to get parked. Sometimes we couldn't park near the property and had a walk to and from the car. This resulted in us not going out as often as we might have done as we didn't want to lose our parking space!! Perhaps, we were just unlucky."

"A comfortable, modern apartment, with a fabulous balcony and view out to sea. Easy walking distance to the well known places nearby, so a great location. It was also quiet and peaceful, no noise from outside or neighbours to be bothersome. This was summertime, but I could imagine it would be very comfortable in winter, irrespective of weather, given a wood stove. I thought it was a bit expensive, but it depends on the time of year, I hit a slightly more expensive weekend. I live in Scotland, I had a Canadian visitor, who thought it was perfect."

"A wonderful quirky but very comfortable and well-equipped historical house in the centre of Anstruther. The Red House has loads of charm but also comfortable beds, a great power shower! Beautiful sea views from the top floor sitting room (there are 3 reception rooms). Access to a lovely garden. The sea/beach is just a few metres walk away. The owners live next door and are very welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful stay here with my parents and young children aged 6 & 4. We would all highly recommend the Red House and Anstruther."

"We enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the views over the harbour were lovely as well as the coastal walks. The Pub next door was very pleasant and handy for some meals, without being any bother. We had some difficulty understanding how to get the induction hob to work. It took 3 days to master. Equipment was up to date and very good, but the settee was not as supportive as we would have wished for TV viewing. A bit disapointed that the bathroom mirror light did not operate. Overall good value for money."
