"Spotlessly clean cabin by the river, relatively isolated, with a good range of equipment for a simple "leave it all behind" spell away. A good hot shower; efficient Wi-Fi, for us - indispensable log burner with all inclusive wood supply for cosy long evenings (end of November) in front of a Sky TV with long drinks in our hands. Bliss! Complete privacy (nobody lives 10 yards outside the picture), though an extremely helpful owner only a phone-call away. The only close visitor was a beautiful stout that came regularly running across the decking between 3 and 4 pm, peeked twice into the lounge through the glass door and disappeared. An unforgettable treat! The rating 8 for comfort is that for us, spoiled avid couch potatoes, the lounge settees were not comfy enough, otherwise easily 9. The owner was so considerate that he sent us a hand written letter with a list of equipment available and two maps how to get there, even warning us about a closure of one small road and how to avoid it. The milk in the fridge was also a nice touch. Fabulous care!"

"A relaxing visit. The cottage is good enough, but for the money there are others that offer much better facilities. The heating is either from the open fire, or convector heaters that cost a lot to run. The hot water is from an immersion heater. The added cost of electricity on top of the rental price is a sore point with some guests, judging from comments in the visitors book. The access road is very rough in places. Be prepared to drive in first or second gear for a mile or so! There is NO internet or mobile phone signal at the cottage. You need to drive about 5 miles, or climb up the hills nearby, to get a signal. On a positive note, if you want peace and quiet, (apart from the sheep and occasional cows) and enjoy open countryside where you don't see another person for a week, then this is the place."

"This is our second visit to S22961 the last was during the summer 2014 this previous visit was just prior to Easter 2015 again we touched lucky with the weather. As in the previous visit we found everything to our liking and the peace and the quiet where fantastic. the cottage is in a tranquil area of Glen Lethnot and is within easy reach of not only the lochs but also the beach and the Cairngorns. Alison and Robert are very welcoming and (if needed) are at the end of a phone. We left our holiday on the Saturday with heavy hearts as we did not want to leave the dogs have not stopped sulking since we left. All in all another fantastic holiday and we would recommend the cottage to anyone especially if your looking for the peace and quiet and just want to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy town or city."

"The cabin was great, the only downfall was there wasn't any instructions for the Sauna and when we figured out how to work it it just didn't heat up at all and didn't work so we didn't get to use this which was quite disappointing. Other than that the cabin was a lot more spacious than it looks in the pictures, I personally don't think the pictures do it justice. The hot tub was great. Maybe if you get more than one toilet roll and some washing up liquid it would also be a bit better! Other than that it is great value for money. I would advise them to get rid of carpets as well as when you are coming in and out from the hot tub the carpets end up soaking."

"Sofas and bed very uncomfortable. Dining chairs different heights, padding worn out and broken backs. Ancient dishwasher didn't work and was replaced by one equally ancient and filthy which also didn't work. Washing machine broken too. Mismatched and bent cutlery. Missing glasses and crockery. Chipped pyrex. Dripping taps. Lighting so poor impossible to read a newspaper in the evening. Rusty outdoor furniture on balcony. No washing up liquid or brush or cleaning cloth to wipe kitchen table and surfaces. Filthy floor, made filthier by muddy walkways. Heating either on or off, and very cold when off."
