"We rented Densford for a week over the Christmas break. The cottage is well located, pretty and warm. However, the lounge area is incredibly dark only being lit by 2 low table lamps with no side tables for drinks which could very easily have been spilt on the floor. We had to bring down a bedside lamp and table which improved matters a little but still did not give adequate lighting to read comfortably. Likewise, the morning room area isvery dark and we had to move the kitchen table lamp onto the table just to be able to have a comfortable meal. For a winter stay, lighting is relevant and this could easily have been rectified by free standing uplighters and stronger bulbs. There is absolutely no cupboard space in the kitchen for dry storage so for our stay we had to move china and dishes from the only top cupboard so tins, packets etc could be put away. There is china provided but only 2 mugs and an assortment of smaller cups. All of the above caused us a good deal of frustration and inconvenience. One further point is that there is no hanging space in the 2nd bedroom so if both rooms are being used, hanging clothes all have to be kept in the main bedroom. I would also emphasise the steep stairs which I accept have been stated in the particulars. However, for safety you do need both hands free when using them and I would worry about children using them as a fall would not be broken. I completely understand thelimitations in staying in a traditional cottage but many of the above could be resolved inexpensively."

"We stayed at S37352 as a family of three with a 22 month old. The property is spacious and well equipped with all the amenities we needed, including tea, coffee and sugar. It was lovely to be welcomed with a pint of milk and custard creams. We had an issue with the travel cot on arrival but within 30mins of us leaving a message, the property agent text to advise they would arrange for a new one to be delivered so excellent customer service. I was slightly worried about the number of reviews on the leaking shower but I’m pleased to say it’s been fixed and it’s much larger than in the photo! Probably one of the best showers! The parking for the property is on a shared driveway. We had an estate and as long as we parked close to the garage on the left it was fine for the neighbor to get in&out. The master bedroom was very spacious and has a very large comfortable bed."

"We arrived to a very clean and tidy S37352 with all the facilities as advertised. Parking is fine but you do have to pull up very close to the garage door so that the neighbour can access his garage. Might be an issue with a large SUV or long estate vehicle, but no problem for us.A short walk to the high street with a local Co-op open until 11pm, with a Co-op supermarket just another 5 mins walk. Very easy access to the cliff top with wonderful views.Bedrooms large and airy - perhaps curtains as well as shutters for the summertime? Main double very comfortable. Bunk bed in 2nd bedroom a bit rickety and previous visits have commented on this for a while in the visitors book.Lots to do within 30 min drive.Overall, a lovely stay. Would definitely return."

"This flat is very nice and once you have scaled the steep stairs to the bedrooms there is a small sea view. It's very tired and would benefit from some colour. It was clean when we arrived. The radiator in the bathroom does bot work properly, water poured in the kitchen window when It rained. The dishwasher was not very clean. There was no toilet roll ,not even a half roll, in the loo after a long journey. The toilet seat was wonky and had been reported previously but not repaired. The shower would benefit from a wiper blade for the glass. Lots of nice clean towels and bedding. Definitely needs a wi fi booster. Parts of it very dated. Would not stay again because I never go anywhere twice. Our week was blessed with 5 of 7 days of great weather."

"The cottage was certainly up to usual Snaptrip standards. If anything, the property was 'under-sold' in the sense that the garden was much nicer than we were led to believe, having an excellent outlook at the rear and lovely seating areas with enough privacy despite being semi-detached. Proximity to Amberley Castle is also a treat: being able to walk there and back from a fine-dining restaurant on a fine summer's evening was a memorable experience. Perhaps that could also be emphasised (for those who enjoy top-nosh).The only reason for not giving 5 stars was an unfortunate flood we suffered due to a drain blockage. The owner was initially difficult to contact but soon put things right and gave us a nice consolatory gift."
