"Really enjoyed our stay at ‘S81185’ The weather was fabulous which made our holiday very relaxing, particularly enjoying the veranda and balcony of the South facing property. We found this accommodation a good base to explore Norfolk, and travelled to Southwold, Wroxham( for a fantastic 2 hour boat trip), Horsey beach, Cromer, Sheringham, Aylsham and of course Great Yarmouth. We found that The Priory restaurant which is just down the road was great for a good meal in quirky surroundings. Seems very popular place which would need to be booked in advance at weekends.Just nearby the lodge is the Redwings horse sanctuary which is well worth a visit, in order to see how well the horses and donkeys are looked after and the opportunity to walk round ( no admission cost) and support the wonderful work there. There were no immediate shops nearby but we ordered our shopping online from Tesco’s in Great Yarmouth and it was delivered successfully at the start of our holiday.Would definitely recommend especially good for golfers who have access to the course on your doorstep!"

"This is a very unusual holiday experience; driving into a dark yew-shaded churchyard to be faced by rows of gravestones, and stumbling into the nave of a church is not the standard holiday cottage! However the conversion is sympathetic, and the 'cottage' is well equipped and comfortable. The drawbacks are implicit in the setup - basically it is one large room, with two large solid balconies with beds etc on each. The kitchen is in the former chancel area, sitting area in the middle and dining at the near end of the nave, as is the bathroom. Everything is solid and quite appropriate, although standing on a memorial stone while doing the washing up takes adjustment. It's a really lovely location, apple trees behind the church and a pond, sitting areas. The farm next door is not obtrusive, and the Old Rectory is close enough if one needs it but not bang on the doorstep. It's very quiet."

"Twice yearly visit to West Cornwall to do some walking and catch up with old friends. Weather pretty good for late April but more sea mist this time than in previous years. Cottage in excellent location - ideal for me as no car, local bus service was regular / reliable with the terminus a minute walk from the cottage if that!Very peaceful location - excellent view from kitchen and back bedroom windows. Have stayed in several different cottages in the past three years in and around Pendeen and St Just - this one the best so far. Only disappointment on arrival no milk in the fridge! - after eight hours of travelling on public transport, the first thing I wanted was a cup of tea! Local shop being 15 minutes walk away - everywhere previously I have stayed there has been a few goodies left, which is a nice touch considering the price of the cottage for a week."

"The photo above is not of 268 Gurnard Pines - probably another property on the site. Gurnard Pines is described as a Holiday village but many of the properties on site are residential and some are needing some care and attention. We were advised that there was parking for 2 cars immediately outside the property. There was space for 2 cars but not solely for the use of the occupants so the space was not always available. Whilst the property was very clean and most things were in very good condition the only seating in the lounge area was 2 sofa beds - not always easy to get up from. There was only one small wardrobe in the main bedroom - nowhere to hang clothes in the other two bedrooms - which just had a chest of drawers. We were fortunate to have good weather which was good as there was nowhere in the property to hang coats etc."

"S19369 is all that you could ask for in a cosy well appointed place for a real break. Easily managed, it has everything you could wish for, as a couple or single person for your stay. The cottage is spotlessly clean and the welcome gifts were a lovely touch. Although an excellent level of privacy it gives a feeling of security and being part of a small community of like minded visitors. Annie and her family are welcoming and concerned that everything is done to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is quiet and relaxing, close to Bovey Tracey, a lovely small town where you can find really interesting local shops. A perfect place to stay for travelling around this part of Devon, the moors, the coast, lovely towns and beauty spots, and National Trust properties to discover. Thank you Annie, it was a lovely break."
