"We stayed at S5984 for 1 week in July 16 with 4 adults and 2 dogs. The cottage is really well equipped with everything you need (except a hairdryer - we could find none). The sun room is great for relaxing and we even saw badgers. We loved the sun room and the bedrooms. There were TVs everywhere. The bath tub is a great extra for rainy scottish days. You can find a supermarket 7 km away. There are a lot of things to do and to see in the area like beaches, castles and nice walks. We especially enjoyed the beach in St Combs - perfect for dogs. The owners live directly opposite. There was just one thing we didn't really expect: The garden was described as enclosed, but our new Romanian ex-stray dog could have easily escaped. So we had to keep him on a leash. But of course we don't know if it is a typical description for gardens like this in GB. Also the way down to the stream wasn't easy to go on due to a lot of loose steps and greens. But besides those two small points we really enjoyed our stay and think about coming back next year :)"

"Myself and a friend stayed here to use as a base for the Braemar Gathering, it was the perfect size for us and only an hours journey from the games. It was very easy to find espcially if you follow the directions provided once you get into Banchory. There is a private parking space that goes with the apartment and immediately behind you is a set of stairs with a metal gate at the bottom which you go up, turn left and its the next lot of stairs to your immediate right (30 steps in total). The apartment was lovely and clean, it had everything we could need and the beds were so comfortable. The owner called up to see if there were any problems, we had a minor issue with the heaters which he sorted over the phone and could not have been any more helpful. There is a Morrisons superstore 2minutes down the road and a full high street in the other direction with pubs/shops etc.. the location is brilliant. I would definately stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends."

"Our stay over New Year was pleasant and comfortable, the cottage was warm and very spacious. The cottage was fitted thoughtout with underfloor heating which got quite hot on the first night but we was able to get it turned down for the remaineder of our stay. The cottage was decorated lovely for Christmas and the snow outside made for a picturesque stay! The rooms were large and the kitchen well equipped, I was even able to make a 4 course New Years dinner. My group of 5 hope to revisit again in the future, potentially summertime as there is a lovely patio at the back which would be great on a summers evening. I feel the pictures don’t do the cottage justice, the cottage was much larger and more modern than we expected! The hosts were very helpful and attentive, they couldn’t have been more helpful, they even gave us suggestions for places to visit. If you are considering staying at S73412, I definitely recommend."

"S5984 is a haven of peace! It is set in five acres of well- tended, fenced and safe garden. The owners could not have been more helpful and courteous. The interior of the cottage is truly breathtaking with a beautiful kitchen, comfortable, high quality furnishings and a bathroom like no other! Truly special! The photos do not do it justice. For us it was a perfect retreat. The garden was ideal for our new dog who was made very welcome by the owners' dogs and neighbouring horses! The cottage is situated within a short drive of Turriff (ample shops and eating places) and the magnificent east coast beaches and inspiring castles and gardens for which this area is renowned, but for us it was enough to spend time enjoying the cottage itself and relaxing in the gardens. This holiday was absolutely superb and we hope to return as soon as possible."

"Had a very enjoyable stay at the property, it had everything you require for your stay including kitchen essentials ( washing up liquid, dish cloths, kitchen roll, salt & pepper sugar hand soaps etc ) the only thing I was disappointed with was the cleanliness of the kitchen surfaces, the kettle and toaster had a layer of greasy dust on them also the canisters on the work top, the hob and oven front weren't clean and the oven gloves were dirty with dried on food. I understand that it is no more than day to day use from previous guests but when you are paying a good sum of money to stay in a property I would expect a little more attention to detail. The rest of the property was very clean and comfortable and the nearby town of Banchory had all the amenities you could want, overall a very nice holiday."
