This magnificent holiday home is in the Welsh harbour town of Barmouth. The property sleeps up to 18 guests and is the perfect setting for an extra special getaway with family and friends. You’ll be just 50 metres from the town’s wide, sandy beach, and nearby day trips include Harlech Castle (11 miles) and the Corris Slate Mines (20 miles). Barmouth sits on the edge of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), where you’ll find a wide variety of walks with jaw-dropping views. In the evenings, enjoy dinner parties at the banquet-style dining table or snuggle up together in the cosy cinema room.
The impressive coastal retreat exudes elegance and sophistication, with statement furniture, rich colours and textures, and fabulous parquet flooring throughout the property. Huge bay windows flood the residence with natural light and frame panoramic sea views. A large hallway welcomes you into the holiday home, leading to the sleek kitchen which has all the equipment and worktop space needed to cater for a large group, as well as a quartz island/breakfast bar for informal dining. The grand dining room with high ceilings and a banquet-style table provides the perfect place for hosting dinner parties and special occasions. After dinner, retire to the magnificent lounge on the first floor, where an eclectic mix of sumptuous seating sits around an ornamental fireplace and Smart TV. Alternatively, head down to the basement to challenge your fellow guests to a game of pool or watch a movie in the cinema room. You’ll also find quiet spots for reading or catching up on emails on the library landing or in the top-floor office. The nine exquisite bedrooms are arranged across four floors, all with great attention to detail and boasting coast or countryside views. There are two shower rooms on half landings leading to the first and second floors, as well as a second-floor family bathroom with a free-standing bath. Outside, there is an open area to the front of the property with views of the beach. To the rear, you’ll find an enclosed patio area with steps leading to a basement where you can store outdoor gear.
Barmouth has a fantastic range of independent shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants to explore. For history enthusiasts, the Heritage Trail around the town is a must, as is a trip to Barmouth’s two intriguing museums. For traditional seaside fun, head to the amusements and arcades, or enjoy an ice cream on the harbour. The town boasts a wide, sandy beach, and you’ll find another fabulous beach across the estuary in Fairbourne (reached via bridge or foot ferry).
Miss Rimmer
Great property, well equipped & design themed throughout. Really handy location & managed to get everyone parked free on road opposite. Only feedback from those sleeping on the top floor, plan your day unless you want to get a lot of steps in :) Had to contact housekeeping as the request for a cot hadn’t been relayed with the booking, but they were really friendly & helpful & sorted quickly Recommended!
