Guests say

Guests are overwhelmingly pleased with the Sheepfold, praising its stunning views, peaceful setting, and high-spec accommodations. The modern lodges with hot tubs are a hit, and the owners' helpfulness is frequently mentioned. While most experiences are positive, a few guests noted minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

Most guests found the accommodation to be clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated comments about dead insects and areas needing more attention. The overall high standard of cleanliness is evident in the reviews.

The location is consistently described as beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation. The surrounding countryside and views are highly appreciated, contributing to a serene holiday experience.

The lodges are generally considered comfortable, with ample space and modern decor. However, there were suggestions for improvements such as additional clothes storage and mirrors, and one mention of discomfort due to heat.

Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of thoughtful touches like welcome hampers and the provision of essentials. However, there is a lack of detailed reviews on maintenance to accurately score this category.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful gestures such as welcome packs and attention to detail. While these gifts enhance the experience, it's noted that such extras, while delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed.

Llandrindod Wells, located in Powys, Wales (within the traditional confines of Radnorshire), is a cheery and welcoming community. The town is home to a number of historical landmarks, such as elaborate Victorian and Edwardian era buildings. Towards the end of August, Llandrindod Wells hosts its annual Victorian Festival, sometimes known as "Victorian Week" among locals. Some attendees like to dress the part by donning period-appropriate Victorian, Edwardian, or other antique garb, and many stores along the main street decorate their storefront windows accordingly.

The accommodation was out of this world, clean, comfy, rich - everything you needed and in the most peaceful setting of all. We met the owners too who are lovely people and will do anything to make you feel comfortable, they go above and beyond! The location is a good spot to make the most of travelling around Wales, its smack bang in the middle so it gives you the option to go to the North, South, East or West - or you can spend the time relaxing in the local village and enjoy a nice coffee over looking the lake whilst feeding the ducks! Would recommend in a heartbeat if you're looking for a peaceful escape away in an idyllic setting. Get it booked!

When entering property we found dead flies and wasps and floor needed swept. The amount of glass is great visually but made sleeping virtually impossible as no air conditioning which for a design like this property is a must. My son in law ended up sleeping in car. Flies / wasps were horrific entering the property and would recommend a mesh type cover for windows and at the very least for the patio doors. On a positive note:- - the accommodation is furnished to a high standard and well equipped. - surroundings stunning, red kites flying around are majestic - good sized area allocated to each of the 4 properties, well maintained and room for 3 cars per lodge. - good communication throughout booking process and pre- arrival - hot tub immaculately clean and very good! Some things to be aware of: - - this accommodation really is in middle of nowhere which if you want ultimate peace and quiet then will be perfect for you. - we drove around and virtually everything was shut - we couldn’t understand this. - take plenty of fans if going to be hot climate - take a fly net, fly spray etc. - be aware that one of the double bed rooms is open plan positioned at top of staircase so whoever sleeping here will have no privacy. - one shower leading from kitchen area for the whole property - no tv’s in bedrooms
