A beautiful village situated around a sheltered tidal harbour, perfect for launching boats and enjoying scenic strolls along the coast at any time of year. Even though it's only a small village, this one has a superb woollen mill shop, a couple of gift shops, a couple of art galleries, and a couple of friendly pubs serving tasty food. Watching the tide come and go and the boats bob up and down in the harbour on a lazy day is pure bliss. If you're in the area, stop by the woollen mill itself to relax by the waterwheel, explore the weaving shed, or grab a bite to eat at the cafe. A short drive will take you to St. Davids, the tiniest city in Britain and home to the magnificent St. Davids Cathedral. Here, you can stroll the quaint streets in search of more one-of-a-kind souvenirs, fuel up with a hearty meal or afternoon tea, or simply relax in the cathedral's tranquil grounds. Whitesands Bay is home to an incredible beach, perfect for lounging or even catching some waves. Go on bike rides through the countryside or out on the water to see dolphins and other marine life. The house was very clean and light and had lovely views of the sea from upstairs as well as an excellent location close to amenities. We have stayed in a few different cottages in the Pembrokeshire area and we all agreed that this was by far the best!
